Have you eaten at IKEA?

I eat there every time I go, it's an integral part of the IKEA experience for me. I even showed up early once to try the 99-cents breakfast. The breakfast was not too tasty though it was inexpensive, I much prefer the meatballs and other stuff. I try to shop there on weekday evenings if possible because the stores can be pretty crazy on weekends.

IKEA Food
Ate there last night.
Regualr meatballs, chips, gravy and berry sauce for 3.75 and a free cup of tea as I had my IKEA family card with me.
A bargain and always delicious.

Do you think this thread should be retitled Ikea Meatballs?
On a more Lebanese note, I had falafel balls for lunch.
Unfortunately they looked like large animal droppings!
I've resisted the urge to buy cheap homewares for several months.
Which means I will surely be back some time just to see if stainless steel counters are on sale once more!

Ditto on liking the meatballs. I haven't had "real" Swedish meatballs, so I have nothing to compare them to. But for the price, they are tasty. I've even bought some to make at home.
As for the other dishes, they are so-so. The chocolate torte cake wasn't chocolately at all. The chicken is decent. I don't normally go to IKEA just for the food (it's a bit of a drive for me), but if I'm going there anyway to get something, then I'll enjoy a meal there.
I'm referring to the Orlando location, btw.

First visit to the new store outside of Cincinnati a week ago. Tried the meatball and potato deal and it was "good value for money" as the Brits say.
Would hate to subsist on a steady diet of them though.
Cheers

FWIW, two miles away is 'downtown' Conshohocken, all three blocks of it, there are two or three very good casual bars and restaurants, and a few more upscale ones. More than a few Ikea shoppers in the bars there, you can hear the cell phone conversations, "I just got done at Ikea, and I'm here....". Map

Avoiiiiiid the cinnamon rolls!! We had some in San Jose once and they were seriously the most disgusting rolls we'd ever had. They were rock hard and had what I would describe as a cardboard box taste to them.

Ok, just got back from the Elizabeth, NJ store. Had the Swedish meatballs. They were good...would have been better without a ton of gravy on top...I enjoyed the Ligonberry sauce. I'd have 'em again.
