In what instances you seen a gate pulled back up to a plane to let passengers back on?

I disagree about Hell's Kitchen. I think that show is more scripted than Top Chef. I believe the firings are completely determined by the producers.

Maybe, but at the end of the day it's all about entertainment. They want the lively characters and personalities (like Lisa on Top Chef) to be around. More fun for us viewers.

Couldn't disagree more. If said production company had large contracts with that airline? I think it would be very easy to make happen.

I've seen a plane pull back to the gate once in all the years I have been treaveling. It was several, ok, many years ago and I wasn't involved, so I don't remember the specifics. But I think it was in Atlanta or Cincinnatti, since I have been flying primarily Delat for so many years.

There is no way that Hell's Kitchen is scripted. Gordon Ramsey's outbursts are real and spontaneous. And unlike Top Chef, there is no disclaimer at the end that the producers are in any way involved with the firing decision. After all, the winner of Hell's Kitchen will run a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and I would think that he would want to have the final say.

Watching Lisa is no fun for this viewer.

Well, at least Lisa didn't win. She looks like the muppet Beaker.

I think I'm done with this show, though. This season was not very good overall and I'm not looking forward to the multitude of Bravo reruns.

I was worried for a sec they'd pick Lisa, even though she shouldn't have even made it this far! Glad stephanie won though... so where is next season going to be?

Seeing Dale booted off before Lisa/Spike then seeing Lisa in the two finales made the last episodes blow. The finale would have been more intense and interesting to watch had Dale been there.

I kind of like season 3 where they had a LIVE announcement of the Top Chef. I made the mistake of lurking the Bravo boards yesterday and apparently word that Stephanie was Top Chef had been leaked early through some careless Chicago newpaper so it kind of ruined the ending for me

I remain very skeptical. I've never seen it happen and would find it odd that it just happens to occur when CBS has so much on the line. Keep in mind, if they don't pull that plane back there is no finale. The winner is obvious.

You've never noticed how all the challenges always are tied going into the last person?

I'll miss the reunion show next week, though will DVR it. Will be interesting to see how Lisa comes off. My husband kept saying Lisa was going to win. I told him they were just editing it that way. I'm so glad Stephanie won. Sad to see Richard didn't have a better performance.

If Lisa had won, I would have never watched that show again.

From the beginning I thought Richard was going to win it all, very sad that he "chocked" at the end.

I overroad the 9 p.m. central recording because I was recording and watching other things. I set the DVR to record at 10:00. I was slightly concerned when watching the playback and there were a couple of minutes of commercials in the very beginning. Sure enough, at the very end, when Padma says, "Stephanie..." the recording stops. I had forgotten to add a couple of minutes to the recording. So, I set it to record AGAIN at 1:00 a.m. - of course, since Stephanie is a Chicagoan, the first thing I see in the paper this morning is that she is the winner. Oh well.

I'm glad that Stephanie won. She really deserved it. I felt so bad for Richard, especially when Lisa was saying how she thought Stephanie had won two of the four courses and she had won the other two. How tactless can a person be?

I was no Lisa fan either. However, true to her personality, she wasn't afraid to say what she thought to their faces. Richard had plenty of nasty things to say about Lisa, but never could muster the courage to say them to her face. Excellent chef, but a wimp.

I'm not defending some of the things Richard said about Lisa, but I don't believe in kicking someone when they're down.

"If Lisa had won, I would have never watched that show again."

I'm amazed at people's reactions like this. It's Top Chef, not top likable person. People rarely meet who cooks their food. There was only one person who had good food for THE WHOLE MEAL. It wasn't Richard or Stephanie. Stephanie's dessert looked like something you whip up out of a box. Making desserts isn't that hard. I'm amazed that some of these guys haven't had more experience.

Richard had no focus in making his meals. Stephanie and Lisa tied course for course although it was very close in the first course. Stephanie was owned in the dessert round. I could make that dessert. Lisa had good food the whole way through. The others didn't.

The judges looked at the four courses and then the meal as a whole. Lisa won 3/5 of those. They gave it to Stephanie though because most people care more about who they like and identify with rather than other merits. I guess that's why this country is run by a dufus who got C's in college.

Lisa, sadly enough, won that challenge and is the Top Chef. Stephanie lost the challenge and gets the title. Mostly so people won't get their panties in a bunch.

Making really good desserts is

It wasn't just Lisa's attitude, I just didn't like what she was coming up with.
