Since this is in my backyard, count me in as "may be"

Will confirm when time comes.

I auctioned off almost all of my cellar a couple of months ago. The three top wines that were auctioned were Chateau Latour 1990, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1982 and a case of Chateau Haut-Brion 1989. The top wines that remain are the following:

Joh. Jos Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese 1990
Chateau Haut-Brion 1986
Chateau Haut-Brion 1990
Chevalier Montrachet 1992 from Domaine Leflaive
Chateau Coutet Cuvee Madame 1986
Sercial 1905 (Leacock?)
Tokaji Aszu Eszencia 1963
Domaine de Chevalier Blanc 1985

2005 Te Mata Estate Coleraine (case)
2006 Dry River Craighall Riesling (case)

which auction. were you happy with them? what was their % you can pm me if you prefer.

a few years back, i sent 20 some odd cases of 88 burgundy to chicago to auction. some of the restaurants were using the sale for their wine list. a few bottles sold each week. got weekly $2-500 checks for over a year. I had purchased the wine from MacArthur liquor in DC on a closeout(bought 30 cases). just did not think it worth half what it would bring. it brought half, and i was still happy.

we have a beau noveau party every year. the year I bought the 88, one bottle of noveau, the rest was grand cru burgundy. interesting the number of people who consider themselves players to ask "what's the difference, charmes -chambertin, mazis-chambertin,griotte-c, etc-c, what's the difference????

I'm up for this too Dan so I can be added to the confirmed list. Will promise to bring along something of "interest". Perhaps a thread needs to be started in CommunityBuzz!

I'm interested!

Don't post much and it sounds like everyone know each other in this thread. But if anyone can hop on this bus, I am interested. My schedule can vary so I would be a possible not for sure attendee. I have some Larkmead and who knows what I might find on my trip in March to Washington and Oregon! Recent likes Larkmead Solari.

A few of us have meet, but many haven't.
Between talking miles and points, and discussion of wine, we'll all be best friends after dinner.

I have a couple of price friendly places in mind.

i just added 2 bottles of casanova di neri 01 and 97 tignanello, made a trade with my uncle so i am out of 01 Lewis Reserve now. oh well.

i might add that it could be helpful to mention if you are bringing 375s or 750s, i.e. to taste or to drink.

I'll bring along a 750. However, upon consideration I might actually buy something in New York. As i'll only be there for a 3 day trip i'm not so keen to check in luggage and clearly I won't be able to sneak a bottle into my carry on

Of course if I know what others will be bringing along I might be able to tailor my purchase accordingly

With current exchange rates there are good bargains to be had in New York.
