Great thread and a WineDo sounds like a great time....

According to my Odyssey Wine Cellar Management software my tops are:
Magnum of 2006 La Playa Merlot (Chile) -- gift from my uncle for my son's birth... 21 years to go before we open

1990 Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir (Oregon)

I may propose setting this up a couple of days before the Brooklyn Reality Tour. Maybe Thursday June 19, 2008, in New York.
Lets DO it

Since UCBeau is coming in for the Brooklyn Tour, and some of you are local (sort of) , let's have a BYO Wine Do on Sunday evening June 22, 2008. Time: 6:00

Feel free to bring one of the wines you've already posted; or, surprise us.
I know an inexpensive place downtown that will host us. They have great burgers too. Details to follow.
FYI, good quality store bought bottles are ok.

Who else can make it?

Me and Anna can probably make it, can't plan that far in advance, but will certainly bring some bottles.

Would love to join if I'm around! But if it's from my cellar, you're gonna have to drink Riesling...

An early start so I can still make it to work on Monday would be great.

Since it's summertime, white is ok. If this is a sweet riesling, bring it as a dessert wine.

We could just get wild and crazy and rule out anything with an animal on the label...

Starting to sell them

because I am trying to pay for a wedding, and we are waaaay over budget...

My best bottles are:

1999 Screaming Eagle
2000 Chateau Lafite
1999 Harlan Estate
1987 Dunn Howell Mountain
1995 Leoville Las Cases

I've tasted one of each, and to be honest, I actually liked the Dunn the best!

Doh!

Hard to get hold of though because Jean Claude Paret only makes a few thousand bottles a year.
Consider selling your wife to an Arab billionaire for the night as a cheap price to pay for a case.
La Fauconnerie Cuvee Prestige, Montagne St. Emilion - 2003
Yes, it's very good indeed. Although given the per bottle price you don't seem to put much value on your wife.

La Fauconnerie Cuvee Prestige, Montagne St. Emilion - 2003 33.50

France, Red, Merlot-Cabernet, Medium Bodied, Drink or Keep.

Grower - Jean Claude Paret

Harvesting at full maturity and using only the most select of his oldest vines, Jean Claude has produced the most outstanding Montagne, St Emilion I have ever tasted, only 3600 bottles per year. Both the wine and the wine-maker are the envy of a lot of St Emilion Grand Cru Classes. Jean-Claude is totally passionate about his baby as he affectionately refers to his wine. Aged in 100% new oak, La Fauconnerie cuvee prestige is loaded with rich ripe red and black fruits, incredibly well balanced and has a fabulous finish. A must for every wine cellar, or indeed, every budding wine buff.
