Subway ^

I'll eat Subway's meatballs but overall Quiznos has them beat on the meat...... theirs is much better than the pressed meat food stuff that Subway serves. Also usually coupons available if you do a websearch or buy the Entertainment guides if price is an issue. Their salads are great too!

Quiznos.

Sandwiches are more flavorable and varied compared to Subway even though more expensive. I personally like Jersey Mike's better than either one, though.

Amen to you. Jersey Mike's is extremely hard to argue with.

I prefer Quizno's. I think it has a better menu overall. Although, a Subway meatball sandwich...

I vote Quizno's - love their Steakhouse Beef Dip!

Quizno's for sure . . . you are making me hungry!

The Quizno's near my house is run by a really horrible franchisee. The managers are all his cousins from back home, and they are terrible. They can't keep people on staff for more than a month, so every time I went in there I had to tell the people making the sandwiches how to do it (reading them the ingredients from the menu board) while the "manager" would strut around like a VIP doing absolutely nothing.

About 6 months ago I went in and ordered an Angus Steak salad. The girl had no clue how to make it, she asked her "manager" for help, he ignored her, she screwed it up but I took it anyway. Got it home and the lettuce at the bottom of the salad had turned to slime - it was disgusting. I was so angry I got back in my car, the shop was closing but I banged on the door til the "manager" finally opened it, and I showed him my slimy salad. "It comes packaged, it's not my fault" was his response. I let him have it - I told him that he had no business managing anything, that I felt sorry for the employees who had to deal with his laziness, that he was pathetic had no customer service skills and he should really reconsider his line of work. He was shaking like a leaf when he handed me my $5 back, and I have never returned. They have a permanent "Hiring" sign in their window.

So, in my part of town, it's Subway. I like their veggie sandwiches anyway.

itd be nice if there were sub places that let you just order standardized things instead of having to tell them everything individually yourself every time. and of course make sure to have otis spunkmeyer cookies :p

I'm definitely a Quiznos fan over Subway, as others have mentioned the quality of the ingredients outweighs the higher price. Seems as though not many agree with me here Down Under though, as Quiznos appears to have pretty much disappeared off the map, whereas Subway is now in pretty much every suburb and in every mall (sometimes multiple times! ).

Quizno's - I like warm sandwiches and I have found that the people who work at Quizno's are nicer!

I like Quizno's more, but eat more often at Subway because it's a) cheaper, b)less messy, and c)more convenient. Quizno's is more of a dinnertime treat for me when I don't feel like cooking :)

Subway it is for me.

I have to say though, they've stopped the way I originally remember them cutting their bread. Instead of in half, as is the standard, Subway used to cut kind of a triangle out of the top, then put the "hat" back on once the meat and stuff was loaded. I preferred it that way as it seemed to be less messy to eat.

Silly, I know.

Many Subway sandwich artists will make it for you thatway if you ask them. I have a friend who asks every time and he always gets it (assuming they aren't too busy)

IMHO, they both suck. I much prefer a local deli any day.

bullitt Oct 4, 2007 8:57 pm

For what?
A.Indigestion,
B.Poor value
C.All of the above
Really, I can't imagine people getting excited about Subway or Quiznos.
Don't you guys have Deli's where you live?

The one time I ate in a Quiznos I couldn't help but notice how many people have to handle the sandwich and complete the sale for something so mediocre.

marisky23 Oct 4, 2007 9:20 pm

My vote is for Quiznos ^

I agree they cost more but my husband & I usually share a regular or large which makes it more cost effective. Sandwiches do get soggy if you take them to go but they still taste better than airplane-like subway.

dreamer2000 Oct 5, 2007 5:10 am

I like Subway better because it's cheaper and what I get at Subway is probably healthier than what I would get at Quizno's

Actually, no. Don't you travel outside large cities?

I don't think anyone's excited by either. Sometimes one must choose between the lesser of 2 evils. Evil #3 is going hungry and that's intolerable.
