Interesting story about Skyy Vodka and how they killed off the flavo(u)rs, sort of.

I'm a big vodka drinker, sipping or mixing. Of all the different flavored vodkas, Smirnoff Green Apple Twist (not to be confused with the vodka drink Twisted) is always a delight to mix or just sip straight up!

I do like Stoli Stawberry especially since it is used in the cocktail made for, and named after me, in a hotel bar in London.

Although there's no accounting for my taste, I find that the Smirnoff flavo(u)rs are usually pretty offensive.

I find the red colored straight up Smirnoff Vodka putrid. I haven't had many other of those different flavored vodkas to report though.

I don't care for regular Smirnoff (if it is drowned with mixer, that is ok). However, this is a flavored vodka thread.

42 Below has some pretty good flavors, such as feijoa.

Another vote for this, though I mix it with water, a little simple syrup and a lemon wedge garnish. Aside from the nice buzz, you'd swear it was sweet tea.

Another nice summer drink is blueberry vodka mixed with a decent lemonade (Newman's or something similar - NOT a powdered variety). Garnish with a few blueberries and enjoy.

Alaska Distillery makes several including a Smoked Salmon Vodka... tastes like they added liquid smoke- adds another level to a Bloody Merry.

I received a sample bottle of vanilla infused vodka free with purchase at the liquor store yesterday. No idea what I'll do with it, but I'll give it a go someday.

Most flavoured vodkas seem to end up as very sweet mixed drinks, something I don't really enjoy drinking. I'm more of a classic girl, straight single malt scotch or a good (real) gin martini is more my style. The closest I get to today's froufrou cocktails is a manhattan or an old fashioned. Though I do have a soft spot for a good gin & tonic, made with good tonic and fresh squeezed lime juice

42 Below Kiwi was quite good... brought several bottles back on my last trip to NZ.

I also *love* Zubrowka with apple juice... when in Poland, I practically live on the stuff.

What else? Someone mentioned Smirnoff flavored vodkas... I think those are for teenagers or college students on a budget. I can't imagine putting that stuff in me.
