If the dish calls for cheese, it is physically impossible for there to be too much cheese.

I don't know. I love cheese but I've had both pizza and especially omelets made inedible with too much of it.
that probably makes it too soupy.. |
how did I miss this till now?
1) Tomato based spaghetti sauce must be SMOOTH - no tomato chunks or skin. Tomato paste-based only although other veggies are fine.
2) Toast must be crunchy and if I have two slices, one with butter only and one with butter and jam. 3) Chicken skin must be devoid of all fat although it's fine if the fat has cooked down into the chicken itself. 4) Coffee must be just hot enough to be able to drink it with a bit of milk as soon as it's poured. 5) Thin crust pizza only with mozzarella as the only cheese. 6) No shellfish ever. I could go on...... |

If I have to touch my food..
I will always wash my hands first.. |
After reading some of this thread I feel pretty good about my lack of quirky eating habits :D.
I have a few I guess: -Mayo is fine on sandwiches with poultry but should never touch lunch meats made of beef or pork. Mayo on corned beef is grounds for imprisonment. Same goes for mayo on cheese. -Soft drinks in glasses must be over ice. -Raw tomatoes are the devil's food. Tomato sauce is fine. -Flat water only. Water is not meant to be carbonated. Nature makes it from hydrogen and oxygen, there is no carbon. |

Popping in to say clearly I've found my people. Yes, your rules may be wrong (!) but at least you have them ;)

I totally agree, but it can be challenging leaving the restroom without becoming "dirtied" again. I am not touching the door handle with my bare hand.

I don't eat slimy foods. This covers liver, lima beans, okra and snails. Snails should never be eaten by human beings, they are the garbage scavengers of the earth - what pesticide would you like on your plate?
Mayo: my brother would eat it out of the jar with a spoon, I don't touch it except on frites in the Benelux region. Theirs tastes better. Tea and chocolate: the two most important crops grown on planet earth. Cheese makes almost anything better, and if I can't add cheese, it probably needs cinnamon. "Well done" is a term of praise, not a way to cook food. |

If the people who maintain the restroom aren't smart enough to have a trash barrel inside the door, so I can open the door and deposit my paper towel, it goes on the floor. They'll get the message eventually. :)
If no towels.. I exit bathroom and get some clean napkins.. reenter bathroom. |
