New Coca-Cola Flavors!

Coca-Cola just announced some new flavors to remain competitive with Pepsi Cola:
  • Coca-Cola made with Low Fructose Corn Syrup
  • Coca-Cola made with Molasses
  • Coca-Cola made with Honey
  • Coca-Cola made with Salt
  • Coca-Cola made with Garlic Powder
  • Coca-Cola made with Cholula Hot Sauce
  • Coca-Cola made with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar
  • Coca-Cola made with Tuna Fish Remains and Whipped Cream
  • Coca-Cola made with a choice of Mustard:
    • Delicatessen-style
    • Dijon
    • Plain Yellow Mustard
  • Coca-Cola made with Pepper and Cilantro
  • Coca-Cola made with Cinnamon
Actually, that last one did not sound so bad.

Of course, I am kidding I was just testing you to see if you were still paying attention.

I wonder how the following flavors would taste...
  • Cinnamon Coca-Cola
  • Raspberry Coca-Cola
  • Orange Coca-Cola
  • Dulce de Leche Coca-Cola
  • Butterscotch Coca-Cola.

I dont know where the OP is located but Coke made in Mexico is very easy to obtain in Hispanic neighborhood groceries and many supermarkets in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and i assume many other locations. Its really good.

Hope it ok to put this in this COKE thread....but... the DR. PEPPER that's prdocued in Dublin (Texas, not Ireland) is also made with SUGAR. Little harder to find but Central Market and a few others usually have it in Dallas. (If someone already pointed this out...mea culpa...I did not read all of the posts in the thread).

My bet would be that per capita consumption of pop/soda has gone sky high. I remember the standard 7-11 Big Gulp was a huge serving 20-25 years ago. These days, it's small and towards the large end of middle in fast food chains, where you can often get free refills!

I remember back in the early 70s when McDonald's introduced their "large" 20 oz. soft drink. Before then, it was 8, 12, and 16 ounces.

After applying discounts from being in their rewards program, Speedway gas stations offer a 58 cent 44-ounce fountain drink all summer long.

by the way: as far as I remember, all european Coke is made with sugar

Not all Kosher Coke is made with Sugar

Coke made with corn syrup is a Kosher Product. However during Passover, one is not supposed to consume corn syrup, therefore Coke plants around the country, clean out there machines, have them blessed by a rabbi and make Coke with sugar. These Coke bottles usually have a yellow cap and have a KP on the top. Years ago they used to have pull-off labels but those days are gone.

Point - if you go to a Kosher Market to buy Coke make sure the cap has a KP imprinted on the top, otherwise it's just Coke.

Totally off the topic, but if you want great semi-sweet chocolate chips for dipping fruit, use Kosher for Passover chocolate morsels - again made with sugar and no corn syrup.

Hey there,

Here in Australia coke is made with real cane sugar and so it is served on all QANTAS flights, even within the US. It's funny to watch americans pull faces when they order a coke on a LAX-SYD flight and it doesn't taste the same...

Coke from Holland is available in 0.2 litre six-packs -- for 12.95!! -- at this specialty soda pop and cigar store in the Bishop's Arts District section of south Dallas.

It's made with natural citric acid, sugar and real cola nut extract -- apparently just like the original, post coca, recipe was.

Good stuff!
