Coke made with Sugar
I love coke made with sugar and not High Fructose Corn Syrup. I saw some for sale on Ebay and tried it..man was it great.
I wish that the American Coke bottlers would use Sugar instead of High Frictose Corn syrup but they refuse. I wonder if any Airlines serve Coke made with Sugar and not the deadly high fructose corn syrup. HFCS is metabolized very differently in the body and is more likely to cause obesity, and diabetes. SO far E-bay has been my only source but I'd love a consistent source from Canada, where Coke is made with SUGAR!!! |

Wow! What a wealth of information from veryone. A million thanks. I never knew there were so many others who felt the way I do about Coke made with Sugar.
There is a guy from my current home town selling Sugar Coke on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE%3AIT&rd=1 but it is in plastic bottles. I'd love to get some glass bottles. Thanks for all the cool information everyone. |
That's just Kosher coke. And for $5
As weird as it sounds, you gotta go to Mexico to drink the real coke ;) |
:D

Yes, all Kosher coke is made with sugar. I thought they would sell it for the same price as the corn syrup one.
If you don't have the glass bottles, you will have to pay for them, and it's always expensive the first time. After that refills are very cheap. |
Gee... Suspended after only 5 posts on the same topic... I wonder if that's his eBay site... :D
There's a little taco place near me that sells the glass bottles from Mexico... great stuff! |
Who's suspended
I should go to Juarez and do another coke run, all my bottles are empty. |

Researchers are beginning to sound the alarm on HFCS. "There's no question that the rise in HFCS consumption has paralleled a rise in both obesity and diabetes," says physician Gross, who authored the study linking HFCS to diabetes. ;) |
Dublin Dr Pepper
Another HFCS-Free soda is Dr Pepper bottled in Dublin, Texas, made with Imperial sugar. It's much less cloying, with a little bit sharper taste. The difference is subtle, but it makes a nice treat. Also, the bottles are smaller than the regular sizes, which is good for those of us who like a treat but don't need 12-20 oz of treat.
We find it at our local Central Market (HEB's specialty stores, located in Dallas, Houston and Austin). A number of small bottlers are coming out with some really delicious alternatives to HFCS-loaded, name-brand sodas. I recently had an IZZE soda (blackberry flavor) that was terriffic. The ingredients listed were carbonated water, several juices, including apple, grape and black raspberry, and a couple of other things. That's it. There's also Jones sodas, Nantucket Nectars, etc. Whole Foods carries a bunch of choices, including a store brand. |
HFCS is quite bad for you, but no worse than sugar. To believe otherwise is another example of this country's acceptance of faith over science. |
Here you can find information about HFCS obesity and diabetes ;)
There is plenty of information about it. And this is not the Travel and Safety forum, so no, we don't believe they are terroristic threats ;) |

There is plenty of information about it. But one will not find data produced through rigorous application of the scientific method that shows HFCS is worse than "natural" sugar. |
