Chambord, but very lightly....I just marinate the berries in it but leave the cake intact since I don't like soggy cake.

If there are concerns about alcohol, like small children partaking of the dessert, I sometimes use a Torani syrup to moisten the cake or marinate the berries.

It's a technicality - Chambord ended up being my choice because I couldn't find anything else in nip bottles.
Not sure you would really want it after it has been sitting around for almost a week.
