Blackened tripletail. Jazzy’s - Cocoa Beach Fl. My first time trying this fish. Flavor like grouper but a softer texture. The slaw was fantastic. I love it with celery seed. |

Not that I could find. I looked up a picture on my phone while I waited for it and it’s pretty ugly.

No wonder why English is so difficult to learn. 'pretty ugly'
That said, I'd be curious to know what a pretty fish looks like. :D |

I'm not sure why you would call it ugly? It just looks like a fish with three tails and a possibly sharp dorsal fin...

Mrs BV had a mammogram this afternoon. So we skipped dinner and just had drinks. After a couple, we decided to put something solid in our stomachs so we split an order of hummus.

Is that can from the original 12 pack or have you bought more? I see it in the store and don’t want 12 cans just to try it. There is a sugar version that comes in a 10 pack of little cans. Still too many.

Dinner last night at BonBon! in Lawrence, KS -- this was their second to last night serving dinner - they're transitioning to private dining, events, etc. Sad to see them go, especially as they were a Resy restaurant and had lot of wonderful food and drink. Since we each had $100 to spend, thanks to Amex Plat, here is a little sampling of dinner:
Started with the cheesy tots which use a house queso made with cheese curds from a local dairy. https://photos.smugmug.com/FlyerTalk...IMG_5858-L.jpg and then popcorn chicken with ponzu mayo and sticky gochujang dipping sauces https://photos.smugmug.com/FlyerTalk...IMG_5859-L.jpg as well as the tuna crudo with carrot, ginger, charred achiote pineapple, chili oil, jalapeno-sesame verde and toasted peanuts. https://photos.smugmug.com/FlyerTalk...IMG_5860-L.jpg we each had the steak, medium rare, with roasted black pearl mushrooms, wilted radicchio and spinach, schmaltz fried potatoes, port wine reduction, hotel butter and ground cherries. https://photos.smugmug.com/FlyerTalk...IMG_5861-L.jpg Everything was delicious -- I also ordered two more dishes to go. |
