Instead, a neighbor friend and her son brought over a platter of "build your own" shrimp taco fixins, which we enjoyed with the wine displayed in another thread. It's what was for dinner!

Everyone should celebrate joyful holidays where possible... I mean this month... Mid-autumn festival....Canadian Thanksgiving and Diwali.... I'm not complaining.

In-law prepared tamales (1 rajas, 1 pig) in banana leaf, Mexican rice and refried beans (both prepared by yours truly with sauteed onions, toasted spices) but I did buy the chicharon I added to the beans). And that was what was for dinner.
