Oh this time of year I certainly miss my Michigan grocery stores. Best cherries there are!

$9.99 for rainier at Tokyo Central market today. I should have taken a photo. Of course it was next to the $99 pineapple so cherries looked cheap by comparison.

Must be imported Japanese cherries.

Torrance...Hawthorne and Sepulveda. I pretty much only buy water there....It is the only place where Crystal Geyser gallon jugs are still 99cents.

No idea what the current price may be, but the fresh summer cherries / guindas are part of every morning's breakfast spread.

No clue. That's what is coming in at the moment (will check where the asian supermarkets source theirs next time I go). Not sure if there is a way to have long term cherry storage.

$5/lbs here. One store had them on sale for $1.99/lbs, but the vast majority of them were pretty tasteless.

I have not yet had a really good cherry this year. That includes CA and WA from stores, local from farmers markets, and from our own tree. Maybe too much rain, especially late spring?

I had some pretty good Rainiers from Whole Foods (downtown Seattle). Ludicrously expensive though, $6.99/lb. (Bing for $4.99/lb.)
