I just bought some pretty good cherries at Whole Foods....reg $4.99 on sale for $2.99 and another 10% off for Prime.

Surprised they would harvest sour cherries that way since they are even more fragile than regular cherries, but I suppose if theyre being turned into pie filling right away it wouldnt matter so much.

I'm not sure how much she paid, but my better half picked up some excellent bing cherries from our local, Bay Area, Costco.

She bought in bulk , 5 kg , for S$94 plus tax ( GST ) direct from a supplier .

A bit over $6 US a pound, I think. Probably pretty good for SIN.

They were decent enough , though have had sweeter ones here before .

Price was reasonable as our friend bought it from a friend who imports the cherries .
Costs more at supermarkets , in punnets .. possibly less from the markets .

We shall see if we will get any from Europe this year .

These are from Canada at S$16 - 18 per kg , suppose it depends how much one bought

There are black cherries growing all over the place here. They’re so small they must be 90% pit. But they’re free.
