I was at a dinner with a client on Zhoushan Island, near Ningbo, China. He was very proud to present his favorite drink. It began with a very warm glass of a local white wine. They then proceeded to slowly pour some sort of raw scrambled egg into the wine. The egg started to poach/cook but never quite got there. It became cloudy and lumpy. I knew it was going to be horrible but did not want to insult my host and gave it a try. Wish I hadn't!!

I have some "Bitter Pepper Liquor" from Russia that is pretty horrific. Also Cashew Fenny from India is really bad.

It probably is. We got a holiday pack of Knob Creek, it had a bottle of bourbon and two 50 mL samples. The maple one was undrinkable. I assumed they aged the bourbon in maple, but that wasn't it at all. It smelled and tasted like they took regular bourbon and added the artificial flavors used in Mrs. Butterworth's syrup - fake maple and butter flavor.

I knew what it was as soon as I saw your post. Liquid Bliss is pretty amazing. I drink a lot of stouts and porters.

As for the worst drink, I had some Chinese rice wine at a restaurant in Paris and it made me cry. I choked some and then I cried some more.

Chinese Baijiu, especially the cheap type served at Chinese banquets.

In my youth we had to suffer Watneys Red Barrel or Whitbread Trophy in the student bar at Uni. No wonder it never made any money !

Worst Beer Narragansett close second Heineken

True backwoods Moonshine runs the full spectrum. had some that was smooth and mellow like a nice sipping whisky, some reminded me of paint thinner and didn't dare drink it!
An employee gave me a bottle of "Southern Comfort Pepper" for Christmas. Vile stuff! can't figure out what it's good for? RT

A simple, innocent Budweiser early one morning right after eating a convenience store doughnut. What a terrible taste the combination produced. I can still taste it 40 years later. Yuk.

You made me chuckle so hard that tears came out of my eyes. Thanks.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy
