I have had one or two other DRC cuvees (a 2019 DRC Corton last year, which itself was probably a $4000 bottle). Short answer is: all this ludicrously expensive wine is fun to taste because I'm not paying for it. It's delicious, and I can tell there's lots going on, but my modest palate abilities do not extend to being able to describe the intricacies of it all, and I'm quite content with my $20-25 daily drinkers. So when I hang out with my wine collector friend I enjoy the ride and am glad I don't have his palate, because I don't have his wallet either.
But yeah, a rando texting that to you has to be a scam, but it seems an oddly specific one.

oh dear god, calling that "apparently a pricey Burgundy" is like saying a Maybach is a somewhat extravagant car. DRC's RC vineyard is one of the most expensive wines in the world. The Romanee-Conti vineyard is small, they only make a limited number of wines, and the RC vineyard is thought by many to be the best/purest expression of Burgundy.
