On that note - cold leftover roasted potatoes, straight out of the fridge (door still open!) with a blob of some sort of sauce (mayo, aioli etc) on Boxing Day morning while still dark, before heading out to the horses!

Pizza (UK takeaway style tastes nicer than "real" pizza to me though - probably because I'm used to it)
Chunky natural peanut butter (I can't stand the smooth, highly sweetened stuff)
Jacket potatoes
Ohhh, jacket potatoes with chedder and baked beans - mmmmmmmmm! It is one of those incredibly common UK foodstuffs that is just impossible to get here unless you make it yourself.

Pizza - I find UK takeaway pizza too greasy (especialy things like Pizza hut), I quite like the non-greasy takeaway pizzas I can get in Canada (water based dough rather than oil), but nothing beats thin, wonderful pizza in Italy!

Chilean sea bass. One of the few fish I like just for its own taste.

A fine example of a fish that is marketed under another name in order to give it wider appeal.

God yes. Garlic. Along with onions and peppers, the indispensable ingredients in nearly every savory dish.
