Bucherondin (cheese)
Oh my god, how did I get so far in life without knowing about this cheese before?
Discovered it last month at the supermarket and bought it because it looked interesting.
It's now perhaps my favorite thing ever. Just bought another half pound today and I've already devoured about a third of it in the 15 minutes since I got home from the store.

There is a favorite cheese thread.

Back on the subject of cheese, I prefer Tomme de Lozac to Tomme de Savoie. Looks like everyone has a favorite Tomme

I'd be surprised if you have never tried it, even if you haven't heard of it.
it is basically what the US knows as 'goat cheese'. Those logs of goat cheese with rind you see in the premium cheese section? Yea that's it.

The mix of the two flavors/textures is just so much fun to eat.

No - this is definitely a new one on me. It's got a semi-creamy, almost-yellow outer ring beneath the rind, with a core of flaky, sharper, white cheese (which is much more traditional supermarket goat cheese consistency.)

Oh, it would have made a good movie script, if it weren't so unbelievable. Think leading a double life, where half of the people in his life know me as his girlfriend, the other half knew his 20-year secretary as his girlfriend. (And his family knew us both and were forced to play along.) She'd be in one of his homes while I'd be in the other. When one of us would leave, he'd pack up all of our belongings and unpack the other's. And both of us were led to believe he was on the verge of proposing. I can laugh about it in retrospect, and was fortunate enough to extract myself relatively unscathed...I don't think she was as lucky.
