Cauliflower
For those based in the UK, there was a slightly OTT but enjoyable programme the other day called "Great British Food Revival", about half of which was taken up by the Hairy Bikers extolling the virtues of cauliflower, with several recipes.
My favourite was Yotam Ottolenghi's vinaigrette preparation, which inspired me to griddle some, adding a load of lemon juice and pepper just as the colour turned... And the result was fantastic (and all the better for the simplicity of it). I'd forgotten just how much I enjoy this vegetable (and not just in a cauli cheese with bacon and mushroom...)!
And now, there's quite a lot of varieties available, too, from plain white to purple sprouting and the wonderful, almost fractal Romanescu.
Any recipes you care to share?

toss with a little bit of olive oil
sprinkle on sea salt and pepper
dust with cocoa powder and smoked paprika
then roast it
I just had a bowl of curried cauliflower soup made by a coworker. As soon as I talk them out of the recipe, I'll post it

The purple cauliflower looks cool, but cook use it in a dish, and the color leeches out. If you have any other green veggies in the dish, the purple + green = a nasty brown color.
My favorite is roasted cauliflower.

Cocoa + paprika just sounds too odd to be true, but I'd be willing to give it a try, on good advice.

I really like it curried. I make a coconut curry that uses cauliflower, carrots, and sugar snap peas. Yummy!
Mix 1/2 cup brown rice, one small diced onion, 1.75 cup chicken broth in to a pot and bring to a boil. Next add 1 garlic clove, 1 tbsp minced ginger, 2 tbsp curry powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp ground cumin, 1/4 tsp cardamom, 1 tsp soy sauce, and a little honey. When rice mixture is almost fully cooked add 3 cups of the above steamed veggies and 1/2 cup of coconut milk. Sometime we add tofu or chicken, too.

I love it coated with beaten eggs and grated cheese and roasted, like Cauliflower poppers.
And as mentioned already, it's wonderful in a curry.
It also makes a great soup (steamed, pureed with some broth, add some sauteed veggies and a bit of flower to thicken)

I'm really enjoying the suggestions so far, and can't wait to try the chilli and chocolate one! Aloo gobi has long been one of my favourite Indian-style side dishes, too...
Ah, in fact... This is a particularly good use of the core of the curd (which holds more flavour than the florets and gets thrown away half the time, anyway). The leaves go rather well in a broth, too.
(I generally add some spice to brassica-based soups - cumin and chilli works rather well...)

I add tikka masala powder (the stuff you would normally mix with yogurt to marinade meat before grilling) to par boiled drained cauliflower and pop it in a hot oven until it starts to brown. Made it last weekend
Yum!
