I love McRibs. We call them McCrackwiches with a savory sauce, but extra pickles and no onions. Sadly, they don't seem to be selling them in New England yet. Worse yet, I'm not sure I can eat them, glutens seem to cause me troubles.

The process of restructuring the meat was first developed by the US Army as a means to deliver low cost meat products to troops in the field.

Vinegar often contains glutens, so the sauce would be the issue. I'm better off just not eating them, my physician would approve of that.

Id heard the .63 per pound was the price point at which they bring it back. Your graph adds veracity. Sometimes what you hear on the radio is true.
Oh! And, yuck! Ive tried them a couple of times and, no.just.no.
However, I dont begrudge the joy others derive from them.

I just read on Buzzfeed a list of the highest calorie foods at lots of fast food restaurants. Totally mind boggling ...

I remember when it came out in the 1980s. It was terrible.
I distinctly remember a promotion: buy a McRib, get any 2nd sandwich free. Since the McRib was something like $1.79 and the Quarter Pounder was a little bit more - maybe $2.19 - I once tried to order a McRib and a Quarter Pounder, hold the McRib. The manager got mad at me and forced me to accept the McRib. Fortunately another guy in line wanted one so I gave it to him.
Then 20 years went by and I was in Toronto one day talking to buddies there who were planning a McRib roadtrip for that weekend. The McRibs were back - but not at any of the Canadian locations (or at least not the ones near Toronto). So these guys were plotting a bordertown run. That's when I realized the Internet loves McRibs. I've had one since, just to reaffirm what I knew when I was 12: they're not good and they don't remotely approximate anything one would consider real barbecue.

I haven't had one since the mid-2000s. I recall it not being great, but I love getting caught up in the hype so I'll make an effort to try one this week.

I tried the McRib locator and struck out.
However the official McDonald's site says they're available at the 20 closest restaurants. Lunch!

Speaking of fast food hype, isn't Popeye's supposed to have chicken sandwiches again by now? I seem to recall their target was late September to have them back in stock but I have not heard the Internet lose its collective sh** so I don't know if that actually happened.
