Had a sighting of an advertisement at the local macdos tonight for the mcrib. It may be back. It might not be.

The guy behind me must have heard that it was back and was so excited to see if he could order one I got rear-ended. *grumbles*

McDonalds McRib: Why Are They Making Us Wait?

I should be chowing down on McRibs by now.

------------------
...
But according to a leaked memo, devotees now have extra time to drum up more anticipation for the white whale of novelty fast food sandwiches. Ad Age acquired a memorandum from McDonalds Operators National Advertising Fund which stated that the barbecue pork-flavored sandwich will now be available in late December instead of its original Oct. 22 through Nov. 11 limited-time release.

According to the Ad Age report, the McRib launch had been moved back to help give end-of-year sales a boost but perhaps the cruel delay will anger McRibbians into boycotting it. Who are we kidding, theyll probably stockpile them, just in case.

For anybody really Jonesing for a McRib, stop by an AM/PM store and pick up their "rib" sandwiches, 2 for $3.50. A little better than the McRib, actually.

I've never understood the appeal of the McRib. There, I said it.

Have you ever been to Kansas City? We would happily provide alternatives for you. I threw up a little bit in my mouth when I read your post.

The 10 Worst Fast Food Trends of 2012

10. The Deep Fried McRib
Clearly, something was missing from the original McRib sandwich. "Oh, I know," McDonald's Austria shouted, "let's deep fry it!" And that's what McDonald's Austria did. And added to the evil: bacon and cheese. Pretty sure this was warned against on some ancient scrolls. Also? It was named "McRibster."

When I stopped for breakfast this morning, I saw that my local McDonald's had a sign up for the McRib. I'm not a fan.
