Cheap drinks, average food, and lots of TV's are mainly what make any sports bar successful. No argument there. But when the food isn't good and the service is even worse, it doesn't really matter how cheap the beer is.
People will go elsewhere. And when a restaurant/bar is trying to gain a solid customer base, ultimately, good service and good food will keep people coming back. Beer is beer, no matter where you go.

The only thing that ticks me off is the BW3 near me refuses to play the sound (except during Lakers games or playoffs). And they refuse to put Closed Captioning on even 1 TV.
That said I will probably go for lunch today.

I needed to get to my next $75 plateau for another 500 MP miles by June 30, so I was there Monday for the $5 pizza, Tuesday for the $2 burger and last night for the $5.99 soup and sliders special!
I think I'll take the holiday off!

BTW, off the subject but on the topic of the thread--I once won the BWW challenge. My pic is on the wall at the one near Toyota Park

The challenge is to eat 12 of their hottest wings (I think they're called Blazin') in fewer than six minutes. I did it in 3:02, and that was with some showboating before downing the final wing.

I'm in the camp with those who said BWW isn't bad - especially for a family night out. Plenty of TVs for the youngsters to watch, and adequate food and drink. The quality of their wings is sufficient and the service (in my experience) has been fine. The overall value was decent.

BWW are fine, but I have a hard time saying they are more than "sufficient" to satisfy a wing craving.

These wings are not gimicky. They're the real thing. http://www.qrestaurantandbar.com/doc...klySpecial.pdf

Have you been to Q in Port Chester? They have the largest wings I've ever seen. 3 wings have enough meat on them to fill you up. Only offered on Thursday (all day). $1.25 per wing. Just say the word. I'm sure HPN-HRL would join us.

That said, I will have to put a Thursday trip to Q on my to-do list.
