Buffalo Wild Wings

How do they stay in business? Is it all those wide screen TVs? I love Buffalo wings and every time I've gone, I've hoped they would be good there too. It is so mediocre. No mas.

The neighbors kids love the place. Mom and dad suck down a few beers and watch a game while the kids keep ordering and ordering.

They asked us to join them once, it wasn't anything worth going out of the way for, but it was totally packed. Apparently, many people like them.

And since you have been multiple times, they know people will keep coming back even if they aren't crazy about them.

Good point. I guess if everyone in the U.S. went three times, they would be Fortune 500 in no time at all. :D

(But, as I said, I'm finished now! :))

I think their bone-in wings are pretty small not worthwhile. The boneless are pretty tasty, though, depending on the sauce.

Other than that, I agree that their food is pretty blah.

They USED to be better. Their quality has gone down a lot over the years and their prices have gone up. They used to have pretty good lunch specials, happy hours, and sporting event specials (Cheap beer). They do bar trivia, etc... it's more of a social spot. Without question though, there are better places for wings.

I always thought BW3 was decent. But this was over 10 years ago, at one of their original locations on Lincoln Ave. in Chicago.

Boneless wings = chicken tenders. :td:

same here but I guess I never thought it was that good as I haven't been for a few years now. I thought the beer selection was always good, wings ok.

We have a Buffalo Wings in Arizona and it was so delcious that I ate dinners by last weekend. I got wings with teriyaki and Honey BBQ, too. I loves it lots. It was quite enjoyable for a nice dinners right after the movie. You can go out a nice dinners or Lunch at Buffalo Wings. Also, I ate with blue chesse, too. the taste is so good!

And I thought maybe it was only our location that was bad  Service is terrible. Managers are incompetent. Wings are edible, but do yourself a favor and don't order ANYTHING ELSE on the menu. This place is a joke.

Yep. I used to run the kitchen at a BW3 competitor and that’s exactly what they are. Chicken tender cut in half.

(Buffalo Wings and Rings, if anyone’s curious)

If so, why are they allowed to sell them as wings?

I mean, you can't take chicken legs and sell them as cutlets, after all...

The BW3's here used to offer fifty-cent drumsticks. I'm talking about drumsticks found on regular chicken. 3-4 was a hearty meal. Best deal they ever had.

Back in high school the BW3 by my house had $0.25 wing night once a week and a group of my friends and I would go every week, spend about $20 total on a bunch of wings and pop and play their TV trivia game for hours.

Looking back on it, the price of the wings generates more of a "how did they manage to stay in business?" reaction than does the quality of the food. I guess that's why it's now $0.50 wing night:D

My local watering hole, the Beer Bistro in Chicago, has $.25 wings on Sunday. The wings get them in. I think it's the beer that keeps them in business.
