3 bottles of 2011 Bell's Hopslam
6 pack of Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
6 pack of Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold
A few O'Fallon Wheach
A few Schlafly Summer lagers

It's summertime beer time, except for the recent trip I had to Dayton, where I had to snag some delicious Great Lakes beer.

If you want a good black and tan, try pairing Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald with Victory Hop Devil.

I haven't had the Hop Devil but the Edmund Fitzgerald is outstanding. At present I have McSorley's Irish Black Lager. It is not particularly good but it was on sale which is why I bought it. Is any familiar with their IPA, also on sale locally?

Took a case with me on vacation to Fire Island. In tribute, I took 2 sixers each of FI Lighthouse Ale and FI Red Wagon IPA. Rounded things out with a sampling of Blue Point beers and six Pacificos for more pedestrian times.

Finished almost all of it, too. Great vacation!

I visited the Westvleteren brewery last week. Bought a gift pack containing 2 Blondes, one 8, one 12, and the glass, for 23 €. After returning home, I opened my checked bag to find one Blonde and the 12 broken, with beer all over my clothes and my bag smelling like Westy beer. There was a card from TSA, they opened my bag at IAD and rummaged around. I suspect they did a crud job repacking and the bottles were smashed after my bag was manhandled by the baggage handlers. I made it from BRU to LHR to IAD, only to be foiled on the last leg. So I have one 8 and one Blonde left, along with a Westy glass with a chipped base. This sucks.

A sixer of Full Sail Pale Ale. Contemplating a run to Central Market for some 22 oz'ers of another ilk as well.

Hofbrau Hefe Weizen - 6 pack from my local Wegmans. Very nice beer, the weather felt fall like around here earlier this week so time for some Oktoberfestish beer.
