We are back in AVL for August. This was my favorite beer last August. Now it’s in cans.

We started the afternoon at Highland Brewing and moved at dinner time to Hillman Beer. By the time I got to Hillman, I had had enough to drink. So I ordered a kombucha to go with my fried chicken sandwich. This was an excellent choice. Beer I enjoyed at Highland were their Pilsner and their session IPA.

Last night, we visited a local pub (outside) celebrating national IPA day. Who knew?
Anyway, some tasty ones: Bell's Double Two Hearted Ale - 11% ABV Tripping Animals' Mahi Did It - 10% ABV Magnify Brewing's Wing Night - 8% ABV Obviously was not driving. |

We toured the NC Arboretum yesterday. They have a nice bistro there. I had a Highland Daycation IPA prior to hiking the trails. Back “home”, I cracked open a HighWire lager in a 16 ounce can. Both under 5% and refreshing, if slightly uninteresting.
