I used to love Alaskan Amber when I first moved to San Francisco. I was living in a corporate apartment in San Ramon and used to walk across the street to a sports pub where I'd have a couple Ambers with dinner.

Last night I had a Von Trapp Bohemian Pilsner with our takeout Indian food. They make great pilsners...

My kid's hockey rink swapped out Samuel Adams Summer Ale for Oktoberfest last week.

I'm envious - more of the hockey than the beer. I'd be happy if my kids could just play outdoor soccer games, but our all-knowing county health officers have decided this is too dangerous for everyone. Though apparently NFL games are ok because they test every daily. But I venture into OMNI...

Had a set of 4 J. Wakefield barrel aged stouts tonight that a friend brought over to share. Not going to complain.

Corona Premier on the beach. Not bad for a beach sipper and they’ve managed to shave off a few more calories and carbs from Corona Light which is a positive

Sort of a Corona Extra Extra Light, then? ;)

Lol something like that -- honestly not terrible, much better than the alternatives.

Back at home tonight and seems like Bearded Iris (Nashville) has starting some limited distro to NC while I was away at the beach. Thankfully one of the local craft beer places that doesn't do online ordering still had some in stock so currently drinking some Attention Please!

Very good NEIPA/Hazy IPA -- scary smooth for 8.2%.

Owner told me they only got 1 case and expect it'll be a quarterly release at the most so may have to go back before they sell out -- or give the Ever Clever they had a shot too.

Yesterday's shopping brought home some new brews, like the Stone Delicious IPA, which I might have tried decades ago, but still today, it was a new taste, a very hoppy and fruity IPA.

Can I have an instant replay, please?

Had my first Sam Adams Oktoberfest of the season at the golf course on Monday. It was tasty.

A very small local craft brewery produces a nice Scottish Ale. I enjoyed it . :-)

Had my first at a Texas Roadhouse last night. It's not bad especially when served in a big frosty mug.

Breckenridge Brewery released their version of Oktoberfest called Autumn Ale. It's really good.
