How was it?

I have 3 more nights to go on my Whole30. I will open it and enjoy Friday night.

For his birthday, my father-in-law received a box from his stepdaughter from Katz’s deli in NYC. It is a Reuben kit and consists of 1 lb sliced pastrami, 1 lb sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, mustard, Russian dressing, rye bread, Swiss cheese, half sour and full sour pickles and I think some cookies. He is bringing it to the house Friday night to share with us. I think the stout will go well. I don’t know if I’m more excited about the meat, the bread or the beer. Ok, it’s the bread. I haven’t touched a grain in 30 days and would kill for that sandwich.

We're taking our first post-vaccine trip in a few weeks up to Portland and this is on my short list to try (also hoping that Bissell still has some Swish by the time we get up there).
