My local is closing out Southern Tier 2XRYE for $6. Decent beer.

Local pub Flossmoor Station has a bourbon-barrel-aged Imperial Stout right now for $15 in bombers. The underlying beer won a silver for "Other Strong Beer" at GABF 2014. Nice stuff.

Keep an eye out for beers from Chicago's Revolution. Anti-Hero is quite good, and in cans.

Just now drinking a Trader Joe's 2010 Vintage Ale.

This is a spiced Xmas beer made by Unibroue. Pretty good price at $5 for 750 ml. When fresh, it is kind of raisiny and sort of astringent/harsh, but with a few years aging it mellows out and gets better.

Ooooh - that reminds me, I think I have a case of 2011 and 2012 still aging. ^

Tonight, drinking Clown Shoes Clementine White Ale...still good, not great. But not bad for a Thursday beer.

Sadly, my beer fridge is lack-luster lately. I'm laying off the alcohol and I only have a couple bottles of "Sapporo" in there, and I think one bottle of "Tennent's". If you came for a visit, it's either that or a mixed drink or some "Glenmorangie" Scotch

Sad, but true.
