If we're sliding down the escape slide you do NOT want to wear shorts.

One type of injury which happens in emergency escapes is a type of "rope burn" from the slides.

Thanks, I did read that earlier in the thread. I'm going to wear jeans up until the water ditching exercise then change into the shorts.

Of course, I was going to wear a string bikini until they said no bathing suits.

(Not really! And when you all see me at the DO you will be very grateful I am not wearing one! LOL)

That is what you wore for the Velvet Rope tour.

Do not think for one minute that I forgot that.

I was going to do the same thing, until I realized that I do not, nor ever did or ever will, own a string bikini.

That is something for which I am really thankful...

Maybe not this DL one:

My sister might still have an old "When you die and go to heaven, you'll have to change planes in Atlanta" t-shirt... Actually, do they still make those?

That's the exact shirt I was referring to, and that I'll be wearing so NOBODY ELSE BETTER WEAR IT!!!

Good memory you have. In fact, I haven't washed either of them since so they should be really gamey. I'll bring a fresh pack of cigarettes to roll in the sleeve, however, as I smoke four or five packs a day.

Apart from that, it will be nice to see you again. Great job by atldlff and you--I'm looking forward to it.

Is there a master list of flights? The OpenFlights doesn't show (unless I am missing it) the FT handle of the person on the flight. I'd certainly enjoy knowing if other attendees are on my flights. I'd be willing to create and post a list if people want to PM me their details.

My flights:
06/25/09 DL1914 DFW 0700 ATL 1012
06/27/09 DL1794 ATL 1940 LGA 2202

You're flying out of DFW? Why don't you come out Wednesday evening and we can meet up in the Sky Club there...start the party early. I've never been tossed out of a Sky Club before...could be fun!

I'm scheduled on the 640p flight from MSP on Wednesday night, but going to try and SDC onto the 505p flight that lands at 830p.

Returning home via the 645a flight on Continental (gasp!) to IAH on Sunday morning. I figured I should return to the site of where I had some glory at a DO.

I'm on DL1585 MD-88 0600-0805 BUF-ATL 6/25 so I should be there for all the events of Thursday, and then I'm leaving on DL1292 MD-88 2020-2229 on Saturday night 6/27 so I should hopefully be there for the whole event.

Unfortunately, Delta Air Lines does not fly between MGE and ATL, otherwise I would post my flight information here as well...

I used my early post on the first page to start posting flight information for those who have sent it to me. Please feel free to PM me your flight details and I will add and update.

I'll work on the OpenFlights this weekend - work was absolutely nuts this week. I'm currently sitting in the MSP SkyClub doing work and will be doing quite a bit on my flight up to Fairbanks that leaves in about 2 hours.

Have fun. I just got back from Fairbanks. Spent a night in the brand new Hampton Inn.

Weather was nice and flights went well, I hope you will have the same.

Well shame on you for having a life outside of FT ;-)

Enjoy FAI!
