any of the prefered seating will give you breezeway status even is the fare is at a discount

Recently had a friend discover FO status due mostly to the DL Plat AMEX. Had no idea what elite status was. After a quick intro by me, I directed my friend here.

Is it the DL Platinum Amex? If so the MQM boosts from it can get you 80% of the way to FO. Perhaps you made Silver and never realized it?

Nope, just again checked my status "Skymiles Member"

If the boarding pass said "Breezeway" then it would say "Silver Elite".

No, Boarding pass says "Breezeway" and "Zone 2" but does not say Silver Elite.

My husband has the same ticket as I do (different record), he is sitting next to me on the flight and his does not say "Breezeway" and his indicates "Zone 4". It's just weird!

Sorry. I wasn't clear. I caught that your BP did not say Silver Elite. I was responding to the speculation that you became Silver without knowing it. Had you missed this milestone your BP would have alerted you to the change in status.

It does sound very strange but just run with it.

Ask too many questions and you might both be boarding with the rest of the cattle. (
