No duck, but lots of dumplings. And lots of beer.

at 6'3" 250 I may differ with you, but I can't say that my legs would bend enough to take advantage of the ledge!

Any suggestions? I'm heading to PRG with the wife and infant in a few weeks.

Except for their occasional tendency to defenestrate someone, Prague is a fairly civilized place. We even found Cholula sauce in one of their Mexican restaurants.

I'd repost the picture of my (ex) wife holding up the bottle of Cholula sauce, but Photobucket is holding all my photos hostage for a $399 ransom which I have no intention of paying.

If you are doing anything involving a "main" train station, be careful: Prague has 3 "main" train stations, and your round trip might not return to the same "main" train station whence you departed.

I just finished up my trip to the PNW. 2 RJ900s on the outbound connecting through MSP, a CR7 to SEA, a 753 to ATL, and a final RJ9 home. By far, the 753 was the worst flight on the itinerary. Part of it was the boarding process, which was a complete zoo, but the seat was also more uncomfortable. I was on the aisle where you only get about 2/3 of the normal underseat space in front because of the misaligned supports, so during the 45 minute wait to takeoff my legs were crammed into a pretzel shape because I had to put my backpack in at 45 degrees. I was in 13B on all three RJ9 legs, and 12C on the RJ7, and both were quite nice. I think I might prefer those exit rows to the C+ seats. I will say that I don't like the little ledge along the window seats. I'm too tall to rest my feet on it. I also tried out my new Travelpro rollaboard and I was happy to see that it fit the overheads on the RJs like a glove each time. I did the whole 3 day trip out of that and my backpack and didn't have to valet tag my bags even once.

Pretty cool to be able to see my plane from the sky club patio. First time I've had time to hang out in ATL F sky club.

^ Nice! Enjoy COW DO! Definitely hoping to go next year.

I'm off to somewhere less exciting, SFO-LAX-ATL-MCI. At check-in they asked for VDB bids on all 3 segments, so fingers crossed

enjoyed a Hop Valley "Solid Baby" multi-grain IPA (7.9% ABV, 102 IBU) while watching the Mariners thump the Oakland A's this afternoon

Hop Valley started in Springfield OR (adjacent to Eugene) in early 2009; we've been to their brewpubs a couple times ... I really enjoy their products, but it was disappointing to learn that they sold a majority interest to Tenth and Blake Beer Company (the craft division of MillerCoors) last summer

I had a Yakimaniac IPA from Free State Brewing while at Joe's Kansas City BBQ yesterday.

The other thing I did yesterday was lose/misplace my drivers license (I know pretty much exactly when/where but that isn't helping) will be fun flying home tomorrow.

We're safely back from our trip to Greece! We had a fantastic time and drank a lot of inexpensive wine. Swimming off the side of the ship in various coves along the Greek coast was quite an experience. The beers over there leave something to be desired, so I had to go have a couple local IPAs yesterday after we returned.

We had booked a park-and-fly rate at an IAH hotel and flew from there. Fortunately, the hotel parking lot didn't flood, so our car was fine. We flew KL 661 AMS-IAH on Saturday which was only its second day operating again after the storm. It was my third time flying on the upper deck on the 747 (first time on KLM), and I loved every minute on it.

Cleared security at MCI without too much trouble considering I had no picture ID (full bag search and pat down, but all done very efficiently), but now there's an ATC hold into SFO, and no alternatives now at this hour into SJC/OAK Guess I'm stuck at MSP for a couple more hours.

So how'd you convince them it was really you? One more good reason for me to always keep my passport in my backpack/personal item at all times I guess.

SkyClub hopping is a little boring there compared to ATL.

It went missing in a casino (I half suspect they forgot to return it to me after processing some paperwork, but it is also possible that I simply misplaced it). However the casino did have a scanned copy in my player profile. So I asked them to print me a copy of it, figuring it couldn't hurt.

TSA of course said "we can't use this" but did admit that it helped, and asked if I had anything else even vaguely resembling photo ID (e.g. library card) but sadly no. Then they asked if I had any major credit cards, prescription medications, etc. (yes and yes). So they were willing to accept that as the ID requirement, but I was not allowed to go through PreCheck. So laptop/liquids came out, shoes off, etc.

They'd also told me I had to submit to a full-body patdown. Then they asked me to go through the scanner but I said I wanted to opt out. This caused a mild amount of consternation/confusion on their part but I pointed out I was about to get a full pat-down anyway. A third employee came over and this seemed to make sense and they did not require me to go through the scanner.

They also searched all of my belongings fairly thoroughly by hand (flipping through pages of books to make sure they were really books, swabbing my laptop and multiple other items for the drug scanner, etc.).

Shhh, don't tell anyone but I'm not even drinking today! No real reason, just not in the mood.

I did just get good news though, casino security called me to say that my ID has been located or turned in, so now I just need to convince them to mail it to me so I can avoid a DMV trip

Got what might have been the last standby seat on DL2703. I can almost see the front of the plane from 35E

That looks like an advertisement for an Amex card. You'll board so early that you'll have trouble deciding which of the overhead bins to use.

Seriously though, I've never seen a cabin that empty in person. I'm guessing you boarded with PREM, but did you run over the little old ladies in wheelchairs and the rugrats to get in that early? Couldn't be KM boarding because I don't see any litter bearers.
