Not too much of a change… since I’ll be qualified through AMEX waiver for platinum… it’s also nice to apply RUC myself

Heh, beat me by a minute before I could post. For anyone who doesn't want to follow the link:

"The updated MQD requirements will be:
  • Diamond: $15,000 to $20,000
  • Platinum: $9,000 to $12,000
  • Gold: $6,000 to $8,000
  • Silver: $3,000 (no change)"

I see no real change. And of course, you know the online ability to do RUC and GUC upgrades won't work correctly. It did give the marketing department something to do that was pretty much benign.

Where do you see mention of any AMEX MQD waivers? Are they keeping the waivers or getting rid of it?

The dollar increases on MQD requirement are steep at over 33% more spend. I'm barely hitting Diamond this year. I'll enjoy it one last time.

Yep. I got an e-mail about the changes separately, so here's the summary:

1) Increased MQD requirements (posted above)
2) New Premium Choice benefits, but we don't know what they are since the website is broken
3) Some sort of self-service tool for upgrade certificates (the wording is very strange about what you'll actually be able to do--it just says "request a certificate", not actually perform the upgrade and/or waitlist)
4) Now you can use miles for baggage fees. (Yawn)

The MQD increase is pretty significant. Not sure if it will result in me spending more or less on Delta next year.

Too bad the "new requirements" don't include "fixing our IT"

Broken links... C'mon Delta an intern could have done better.

The MQD increase means I will revert to Gold (my lifetime status) but honestly only the "covid rollovers" have me at Platinum so I am fine with that.

I do not understand the ranges for MQD and the gaps between them?

They are not ranges, but stating the initial and now the new level of spend.

$15,000 to $20,000 means the spend level is increasing from $15k to $20k. It is a confusing way to state it as I also initially read it as a range of spend.

I was rather hoping that Delta would move toward a loyalty point system like AA. Oh well

The broken links is a good summary of DL over the past 2+ years.

Got the email. Overall nothing earth shattering. MQD waivers remain unchanged. I'll be curious to see what the new choice benefits are.
I have big doubts about the RUC/GUC applying correctly with a few "clicks".
