Its all about deltas bottom line and being cheap or making a meal unedible enough that it doesn't have to be replaced often. The picture of what it can look like doesnt look too bad but delta will never deliver a dish like that so yes better options should be chosen.

To briefly weigh in, I don't necessarily have a problem with DL trying to offer a variety of foods at SkyClubs, but with the limited amount of hot food space (particularly at JFK), I think that DL should stick with dishes that please as many people as possible.
This dish was clearly a miss, and shouldn't be offered again. Regardless of the merits of it (I've never tried saag paneer before), the presentation was poor, and I imagine that few chose to partake.

1. They could be missing and/or very rare in the DL variant.
2. They could have been picked out by prior diners before the picture was taken (perhaps they were mistaken for chicken or pork by some of DL's customers)
3. They could just be underneath the spinach. I doubt proper presentation in a warming plate was taught to the SkyClub staff, so they just dumped it from the bat in back into the warming plate.

i suspect there are many posters on the DL board of glyertalk who would say that there are a total of two entries on that list:
- Woodfords
- Makers Mark
A small, but vocal minority might argue for Biscoffs to be added as a third item.

As I noted, I live in a bubble and am generally around a diverse and worldly group of people. In person, I don't think I'd tend to encounter many people denigrating Indian food as some sort of human waste. That's why I come here, to keep me grounded.
