To briefly weigh in, I don't necessarily have a problem with DL trying to offer a variety of foods at SkyClubs, but with the limited amount of hot food space (particularly at JFK), I think that DL should stick with dishes that please as many people as possible.
This dish was clearly a miss, and shouldn't be offered again. Regardless of the merits of it (I've never tried saag paneer before), the presentation was poor, and I imagine that few chose to partake.
I was talking with one of the DkyClub agents and they were telling me that the JFK SkyClub actually has the most extensive kitchen in the system. They were saying that the new B SkyClub will also have an extensive kitchen. They also told me (and I was surprised to hear this) that the F SkyClub was built without a kitchen and it wouldn't be practical to try to retrofit it for one.
