That is untrue as I am sure you know. I hated it until I learned my way around it 10 years before I ever heard of FT. I just had no one else to ..... to about it...

That, that was alot for the flight, that you fly alot, and that you drink alot of Woodford.

I was simply inferring that I fly and drink more than you.....

...the actual truth of that reality is irrelevant ;-)

I disagree...most Delta FF care about using their miles eventually for family vacations and such. But many may not know the dismal state of the award calendar because they haven't played with it much like us FT folks have.

I admit there is a segment of big $$$ fliers that just buys FC/BE everywhere and accumulates millions of miles thru CC spend and FC bonuses...those people never need to use miles and should maybe donate them to Make Wish Foundation or something. However this segment has to be pretty small..

It honestly blows my mind how much more us underling medallions can spend than you DMs.

I think that anyone spending $15k per year should at least be GM--at a minimum--regardless of MQMs or MQSs. And I can easily spend $25k in a year without reaching PM. If I flew the routes I flew last month for an entire year then I would easily spend 50k and barely hit PM.

There definitely needs to be a spend-based alternative qualifying method. Sorry for the off-topic rant.

I adds up. Dunno what route you may be referring to, it sounds a little off to me. Unless its TXL-BRU, in which my company had to repeatedly shell out in excess of 800 for Y for 55m and 393 miles.

H fares for ATL-BDL. Over $1,100 r/t for 2 segments and 1,712 MQMs. Do that 45x per year and you'll have 77k MQMs and 90 MQSs for a cost of $49,680.

What would really suck is to do that trip only 43x in a year, leaving you short of PM after spending $47k.

ATL mnl. $662.00. Used $600 vdb compensation. I am in for 62.00.

Still have $2,600 in vdb credits among me and my family.
Everything else booked is paid for with vdbs.

Pays to be flexible.
