Planning on buying people a lot of new phones/cameras? US law says taking pictures of people in public is legal. (The TSA doesn't like that; they lose.)

Want privacy, fly private.
There were probably 100 cameras that took your picture between your house (or hotel) and the jetway - security, traffic cams, parkign grarages, every 50 feet in the airport.
Plus you probably aren't that special that anyone would want to buy your photo.

Hmmm while calling d....bag every time you go by is a bit childish, what you did was IMHO actually d...ish. Two people in the wrong line should maintain order when directed to good line. Seriously, could you not just let him ahead of you? What's the hurry and where are your manners?

That's pretty funny. I had a guy try to take my picture on our CRJ flight this week. I am 6'5" and built like a line backer. We were seated in the first row, and I had the isle seat. He held his iPhone out in front and flipped the camera around. I looked at the phone, and then him. I am 100% positive that he was able to read my mind. He quickly "pretended" to do something else. It was a good call.

Maybe after seeing this thread, airlines out to create a small retractable/ folding foot rest somewhere up there
Interesting cultural observations. Yes, I'd rather have socks up there than shoes.

Same here. In Korea, a lot of the restaurants that have areas where you sit on the floor and eat require you to take your shoes off. Almost all Koreans in their home walk around without shoes and they generally sit on the floor with some even sleeping on the floor. The same goes in Japan.
I don't understand people in the US who walk around with their shoes on inside their homes. I have to constantly remind non-Asian friends of mine to take their shoes off when they come over. NYC sidewalks are full of dog excrement and I don't want that crap all up in my house.
Shoes on the bulkhead seem nasty to me. I think socks are generally much cleaner than the soles of a shoe.

I read somewhere (will do a search later) that those who grow up in homes that have the "no shoe policy" are healthier. I grew up in such a home. And I so wish my dear mother were still alive so I could show her that study. All 6 kids gave her a hard time over the years. But she was way ahead of her time in other things too. Like cooking all our meat until it was so dry and tough that I never knew what a good steak tasted like until I left home
Oh and to make my point.....we were all very healthy. I know genes played a part......two healthy people got married and had kids and in the 50's did not run off to the doc every time one of us sneezed

I was on a 757 from ATL-SAT last week. Guy in 2B just could not stop putting his right foot up on the armrest of the lady in 1B. It kept going on to the point the poor old lady in 1B finally had to get up and in a loud voice shame the guy into taking his foot off her armrest. As he was getting up to leave the plane upon landing in SAT my mouth dropped when I saw the tag on his backpack. It proudly announced to the world he was a Delta Diamond Medallion level member. Goes to prove what my mother told me, "Wealth and status don't equal class."
