Yes, this is true. Plus DL's presence was a bit bigger pre-merger, ditto for NW.

I have noticed this summer all of the ATL flights will have an F cabin ( DC9, CR7s and CR9s ), which is a big change from just over a year ago when it was pretty much all CRJs to everywhere ( last summer had mixed CRJ/CR7/CR9 service ). Heck, even CAK is getting a mainline DC9 for the morning departure, evening arrival; haven't seen that in a few years.

Any Updates?

Hello all. I was wondering if any double mqm promotions were in full swing for 2011. I couldn't find anything. Thanks!

Nothing yet.

Yes we're still waiting. Last year they had a half dozen out by 6/2010.

This year rather than giving double MQMs, Delta is making MQMs meaningless by simply granting status upgrades after 2 or 3 round trips.

being its july and business seems to be good on delta there probably no chance of any mqm promo's this year

patrickboruta Jul 2, 2011 2:03 pm

too bad

I guess it will save me some money. Those promos usually prompt me to start taking pointless trips. Last year I flew to Pittsburgh, then spent the following 3 days flying back and forth to Seattle a couple times. I guess without the promos, I'll just stick to essential travel!

The nature of this website is to make the most of the programs. Elitist highbrowing is counter-productive and won't curb this

Lmao I thought I was the only one to do something like this. My wife and I flew to PIT then SNN for 1 hour and returned to PIT(Double MQM's). When we got off the flight we asked were check in was and the lady said oh your the Miller's. She took us to check in and everyone new us by first names and 1 hr. later we were returning to PIT. They walked us through security which took 2-3 minutes. Here I thought we were cutting it a little close time wise. Next time were going to spend a couple of days, everyone was just so nice. :) ^

Of Delta's ~70 million SkyMiles members, how many do you think received this offer? Of those, how many bought and flew did the incremental journeys to receive a higher status due to the promo? Further, explain how those (probably few) meaningfully added to competition for elite benefits.
