It has always been a rule, for employees, to never discuss politics, religion or sex while in uniform. We weren't even allowed bananas or ice cream cones in uniform because it is much to suggestive to the passengers.
The Captain as an on duty employee was out of line for voicing his/her political opinion. |
...and now for something completely different:

Years ago at NW, we used to serve a great chocolate cake to our FC passengers for dessert. On this particular flight, I had to run to the FC galley for something and noticed all this cake sitting around in the galley. My first thought was, that's nice, she's going to do a separate dessert service. I'll come back in a minute to help her pour coffee. I was stuck in Y longer than I thought and rushed to the front to give her a hand. The couple in the last row were done, so I collected their plates and then went to the galley. There sat Miss Rotunda, on the jump seat eating chocolate cake. I started looking for the cake to serve the last two people. I couldn't find it. I asked her about it. Her response, "One of the cakes were crushed, so I couldn't serve cake to FC." Not only had she removed all the remaining 15 cakes from the rest of the passengers trays, she ate them as well! This woman had no shame. It was a pleasure when she retired. I just hope that my fellow co-workers remember me kindly for how I treated fellow workers and passengers. I wouldn't want to be remembered as a lazy cow. |

LOL! The story reminds me of a certain FA I used to work with years ago. To say that she made the plane shake when she walked, is an understatement.
