I got the charter letter as well... I guess it's better than silence, but I would have expected DM credentials would have been more of a priority.

Few days ago got the letter, would like the pmu's, on some very heavy elite runs soon and would like to ensure my seat up front. The not releasing of seats is getting a bit ridiculous. Was on a flight EGE to MSP, 15 seats empty upfront and no release until arrival at the ariport. What is up with that. 15 seats should have meant the 5 day window was honored.

Received my letter as well, although I was a bit disappointed as I was assured while changing flights by a nice lady on the PM line a few days ago that the credentials, PMU's etc are on the way. I don't think they are electronic yet, can anyone confirm this? So that means mid-April before the paper PMU's arrive I think and I had hoped to use them on some elite heavy transcons over the next couple of months.

Got the letter. Though it is disappointing not to get the DM credentials until March, my guess is that they are doing this due to a technology issue. Possibly problems with the fact that we were promissed that those who reached DM in 2009 would be able to select both a PM choice benefit and the the two DM choice benefit. The differentiation of the date of issuing PM and DM credentials probably helped the tech dept. Just a thought.

New Medallion Cards?
 

I'm due for new Gold Medallion cards and nothing has come yet. When do these typically get mailed out? I searched for posts about this and didn't find anything...just so I don't get the typical "you should have searched the site...bla bla bla" answer!!

End of Feb. The cards are good from 3/1/2010 to 2/28/2011.

I really like this idea --SMI and Jeff, how about the DM luggage tags to reflect our charter membership -- I for one would be proud to attach it to my carryon bags.

slightly OT -- our MM cards should be different then the generic silver (FO) types -- i know this has been posted before but I think we ought to send emails to Delta request both suggestions --- I will be.

Delta should do all it can to boost its 'caring' for the customers that have worked hard or spent many hours BIS.

Is this too much to ask?

SEL based and still haven't received my card yet. I have a connection through SVO on 3 March, so I'm hoping they will except last years card.

It took me 5 months from going Gold->Plat to receiving a the card (I received it on 3 January 2010), so all the certs were already expired :(. Here's hoping I actually get one on time this year.

Without a lounge pass (since the lounges are op. by the airport), it's 99% likely that they'll deny you entry (per FT threads). Btw, they don't care about cards.

I was also wondering about next years card. I am a merged NW Gold member, and thought I usually received my NW card by mid Feb. Does Delta always send the free beverage coupons around the same time, or was that just a one time thing last year?

The beverage coupons are in the same envelope as the new Medallion card.

Thanks for the info, Mersk862. Mine must have come separately last year since I was merged from NW. In fact, the Delta card I was sent last year has my old NW # on it--not the new Delta # that I need to use now.

Dear Mr. Anderson:

I am writing as a Million Miler, Flying Colonel, Sky Club Member, and Platinum Medallion Member since the inception of the Platinum-level program. You will find that I am a loyal, and relatively happy Delta customer.

This sounds like a complaint but is really feedback regarding the fact that we have not been mailed our 2010 platinum medallion packets. My PM card expired two days ago. This should have been done in January. Does one need a 2010 PM card when the 2009 one expires, as mine has? Yes, at the Air France and Korean Air business lounges when flying economy they do and not mailing the cards out before the old one expires is a mistake for your most loyal customers.

Why not have the packet office work with your vendor now for the 2011 packets, rather than wait until it is too late to get them to us in early February?
