The beef some of us have (not sure yet whether I'm in that camp, but that's a different story...) is that people who qualified for PM earlier in 2009 (say, October) got their PM packet in the mail, complete with PMUs that expire in 2011. Those who qualified later in the year (say, late November and beyond) never got that packet, and never got their PMUs. Personally, I believe that the PMUs that did get sent out SHOULD have expired 2/28/2010, and then we'd all (more or less) be in the same boat right now, with 2010 PMUs/SWUs only available from the PM choice benefit you refer to. Unfortunately, someone at DL messed up, and that didn't happen.
No PM packet for me in the bay area yet... Can't wait to see how ugly the cards really are!! What amuses me about the IMO fugly PM baggage card design is they just look thrown together. Does not even really match the PM card. YMMV |

I just don't know why they bother with the tags. :rolleyes: Even a bottom feeding program like Choice Privileges :D sends out two personalized pre-printed plastic luggage tags. David |

Got the CO Plat card yesterday in MSP, the DL Plat card today. Wished DL would go back to the smaller bag tags than the large ones like this year's kit has. |

AND I agree...I want the small key ring sized luggage tag! That was so much more convenient, it looks ODD to have a huge luggage tag on a smaller carry on bag...especially if it is a laptop case/bag or a back pack that you use for non-airline travel also.. :( |
Just got my new card and bag tags here in Socal...not particularly impressed. Kinda odd-looking...maybe I'm just used to the old version.

I agree with the comments about the design (Ugly) and the bag tags (to large). And guess what, in a secret inner pocket were 10 PMUS -- just kidding :) |
On the bottom of my GM congratulatory letter (to which the massive bag tags were adhered), the last sentence under the heading "It's the best way to Travel" references something about "a complimentary luggage strap to use with your (enormous) bag tags." In my haste to get the behemoth bag tags on my luggage I tore a layer of paper away which indicated how to retrieve said luggage strap.
1. Can anyone tell me where I should visit to claim my complimentary luggage strap? 2. Do we think the luggage strap will be stylized similarly to these fetching cards? 3. Why doesn't delta offer SM, GM, PM or DM apparel - fanny packs, track suits, hats etc. to compliment our giant bag tags and tell the world "I'm medallion status and I'm awesome." |
