Can't say I'm sure...the old Northwest style was Golds/Plats were handled by the elite desk, while Silvers were handled by the regular desk, just as a higher priority over someone calling the general 800-225-2525 number.

Not sure if they'll keep the Delta style of everyone going to SMS (or PS&S now :rolleyes:) or use the NW system...gut feeling is that with all DMs/PMs/GMs going to SLC/IRC/CVG, that might be enough to keep them busy alone.

My wife never got a welcome package after hitting PE in November. When she called after a month or so they said the package would go out mid-January, but only a card ever arrived. No PMUs, nothing.

My wife went from FO-GM in early November and she has still not received anything.:confused:

I went from GM to PM in early December and received a packet at the very beginning of January. It was essentially a 2009 packet, with the 6 PMUs but the dates on everything (card, PMUs, luggage tags) are valid through February 2010. So I don't know what, if anything, I will get in the next couple of weeks, since the earlier packet contained no information about the 2010 choice benefits. I may have received my 2010 benefits rolled into 2009 or I could have the option of having a total of ten PMUs/SWU that I can't afford to use.

The response to people whose status increased near the end of 2009 seems to have been pretty random. I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got more than an email.

I called about another matter and was told that they were going to be reviewing accounts in mid-Feb to determine what status various "borderline groups" were going to be awarded.

I know people who were awarded platinum last year with less than 50k miles, so I'm guessing they are drawing the total revenue lines for awarding status.

I got a letter from Delta saying congrats, you will be in the first year of DM blah blah blah, your credentials will arrive in early March.

Sucks, but at least I have a letter from Delta with my SM# on it that I might be able to show to an AF dragon if I have to.

received a letter today welcoming me as a "charter member of our diamond medallion level" launching March 1, 2010. Letter says "your diamond medallion credentials will arrive in early march and your status will be valid through feb 28, 2011"

Doesn't the mailing also contain luggage tags and drink chits?
