I also noticed the improvements yesterday. It still has a ways to go...

  • Some flights with multiple segments only show status of the first segment. Example: DL1055 today.
  • Navigation between screens is inconsistent and can be a challenge. Each screen should have clearly visible "Home" and "Back" links.
  • You can get a list of your itineraries but the "Trip details" link on each doesn't work. When that's fixed I hope we get the full information and the ability to change seats that we have on mobile.nwa.com.
  • There are obviously mis-programmed messages before and after the itineraries list.
  • The "Email Programs" link doesn't work. Not sure what this would be anyway.
  • Lots of information links but it's missing the obvious one: SkyClub locations!! That should be a link off the main menu. Should let you specify an airport and then tell you whether there is a SkyClub or affiliated lounge there (and the exact location).

Will it show the upgrade standby list?

In addition to mobile.nwa.com I hope our friends at DL check out http://pda.continental.com/info to see a very useful tool, both in terms of its navigation and the amount and type of information provided.

It is indeed a work in progress. But the fact that they're working and progressing is a good sign!

i think there might of been a temporary dns issue that was causing some people to end up at the wrong url. i'll have to ask in the office tuesday to find out if that was the case. if you go to delta.com OR mobile.delta.com from a mobile device, it should redirect you to:
http://mobile.usablenet.com/mt/www.delta.com

if you go to mobile.nwa.com it redirects you to:
http://mobile.nwa.com/mt/www.nwa.com

its worth noting that BOTH sites are done by the same company, usablenet.

Foreign language BlackBerry

I'm Italian, so my phone use italian language.

If I try delta.com on my blackberry the message is:
"too may redirect try to: http://it.delta.com/delta/enit/?;http://www.delta.com/index.jsp?lang=it"

If I try mobile.delta.com on my blackberry the message is:
"too may redirect try to: http://it.delta.com/delta/enit/?;htt.../www.delta.com

ok i know what's causing that and why: when you come to delta.com, we check two things first. one is if you have used the language selection tool (Country/Language link in the header) to select a language and country. if that's the case, we redirect you to that language version of the site. in the case that you have not used the tool (aka there is no cookie set), we check your browser language and country setting and redirect based on that to the appropriate language version of the site. sounds like we are redirecting based on the language before we handle mobile.

i just sent an email on this so hopefully we can get it fixed soon.

Check-in on mobile and regular site doesn't work

I can't seems to check-in on either the Delta mobile or the regular Delta site. I can see my itinerary, but the check-in button doesn't seem to work. I use Safari. Anyone having this problem?

Some changes in the last day...

The flight status problem I noted appears to be fixed. (All segments on multi-segment flight now showing.)

The "Trip Details" link on the itineraries is gone. I hope that comes back and is properly implemented (at least giving us what we have on nwa.com). What's left is a link to the flight details (equipment type, etc) of the first flight in the itinerary. Not the most useful info.

The Check-In button doesn't seem to be working. it just reloads the current page. I'm on a BB attempting to try the mobile boarding pass for the first time.

The mobile web site scared the cr@p out of me on Tuesday.

I was flying SBA-LAX-ATL-HSV with a bit of weather in LAX and SBA, but everything appeared to be running on time. Very important since I had already scored an upgrade on the 777 LAX-ATL flight.

Checked my itinerary via my new ipod touch (free wireless in SBA) and it said basically one of my flights was delayed and I was already rebooked. But it didn't show any details. So I pulled out my blackberry and tried again with the same result.

Then I called SMS and they saw nothing of the sort, everything was still on schedule and as booked. My SBA-LAX flight ran a few minutes late, but nothing to worry about.

Still have no idea how the mobile web site came up with its misinformation.

Ok, from mobile.delta.com, loading itinerary by SM# and continuing to check-in doesn't work. The check-in button doesn't work properly. However, loading itinerary by confirmation # and then continuing to check-in works.

Mobile.delta.com let me check-in (LAX-ATL) but never did it allow me to download my mobile boarding pass offering only to print at home or at delta kiosk.

Mine shows this as well. Sounds like maybe the error message display is driven via some front-end stuff that isn't being correctly suppressed like it is on the full DL.com site?

It's obviously a programming error. It appears on all itineraries. And if you read the text closely it's very garbled.

I only had one active itinerary, and was too panicked to read closely.

Thanks for the info. Hope somebody fixes it soon.

I e-mailed Delta about their craptastic mobile website a few weeks ago and got a message back pretty much like "Yeah, we know it sucks. We're working on it."

I am looking forward to being able to check-in on my mobile, not just having a URL link texted to me.
