Agreed. It's just that baronworm had said you could only use the points to pay for the annual fee after you reached the spending threshold, which I reported to not be the case.

Just got a flyer in the mail, spend $500 before June 30 and get 3000 bonus flexpoints . Requires registration.

Not that I'm aware of. Would LOVE to know a trick for this but am not at all hopeful one exists.

Search is not helpful for this one. Does the Perks+ Visa give FlexPerks? It doesn't outright say, but sounds like it might.

I apologize for the misinformation! Thanks for catching that MDtR-Chicago!

I got taken for a ride even worse. I booked an adult and two kids. I had only checked adult fare before and it was 783. Turns out the child fare was 601 each. So it cost me 120k points for flights that cost $2k. I was super disappointed when I saw the receipt on airline website. Lesson learned that child fares are different than adult fares

Can never find a good fare to book. Was looking for SQ from IAH to SIN last year. SQ showing 889.00USD and Flex Orbitz was showing 1800USD! or fare will be 1 dollar or afew dollars over the redemption level. Pretty frustrating.

Has anyone been reimbursed the $25 airline purchase on a flex perks reward ticket? I'm mid trip and have no use for the $25 on incidentals or baggage. Would like to get AA GC but only if will be credited.

I see old posts on this from a few years ago but would like more current feedback if possible.

My impression from following this thread over the past few months is that reimbursements require a call to Flexperks rewards customer service to initiate the reimbursement. I would call them (and speak with a couple of different agents) just to make sure before I go on a trip, that I way I know how it works!

Sadly, I didn't even know that this benefit existed in February of last year when I redeemed the 20k bonus points for a round-trip to Miami. Had I been aware I would've bought drinks on the plane or something.

Tried to use US B cc to purchase a drink on my AA/American Eagle flight this week to trigger flex perk $25 reimbursement. They do not take cc in cabin, only cash. FYI.

I think the small commuter planes don't have the infrastructure needed to support credit card machines.

I need a get an award ticket for BA flight that is $401.22. I've been hoping that the exchange rate (it's 353 euros) would improve just a smidge so it would drop below $400. Has anyone had luck calling in and paying cash for that overage?
