Yes, Visa

I've been searching for the details of my offer (Visa) but think it was accidentally tossed out in the trash. Anyway, it was something like spend $10,000 for November and December and get double points for every dollar above $9000, limited to 2500 points. For me it was a pretty stingy offer when compared to the offers I've received this time of year in the past for this card, so my spending this season has been directed toward other cards.

500 points for enrolling in Real-Time Rewards

There was a link to this promo on the front page of the Rewards site.

This is one of those schemes where you get a text message every time you make a purchase; you can respond back to the message to use FlexPoints to pay for the purchase. (probably at a poor redemption rate)

To minimize the number of text messages, you can set a minimum $ transaction and pick a single transaction category.

Except the T&Cs say that by enrolling in this, you are giving them permission to not only send you texts, but voice calls (and it sounded like a broad variety of voice calls in the fine print).

Other companies agree to limit a number to texts. Why couldn't US Bank do that???

Do USB credit cards no longer load with NW buxx, specifically, the Club Carlson? My Cash advance limit needed for load to initiate is large enough, and I have loaded the carlson card previously a few months ago but was denied recently???

Possible but probably tough. Depends on other factors like total number of accounts and income. Make sure to freeze the two bureaus.

I am beyond frustrated & am hoping someone can help me. I entered a photo in the FlexPerks Photo Contest & TONS of people are telling me they're voting, yet maybe half the votes are taking. I have voted myself with no problem whatsoever, so I don't know what the issue is, but people are telling me they voted, it says Thank you for your vote and then the count they see goes to zero. I'm telling them to click "vote for this photo" and then log in via FB.

Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

Has anyone used the new "real-time rewards"? How long does it take for the statement credit to come after the redemption?

Delta Basic Economy

I recently did a search for a flight to Portland and found a few options which were under the $400 price threshold for using 20K points.

When I ran the same flights using the Flexperks booking search, the Delta flights which came up were only the 'basic economy' options. The same flight that was a few dollars more (and still under $400) but at the economy level was not listed.

Has anyone else run into this issue? I usually prefer to get economy seats so I can possibly upgrade to a better seat later on, but that was not an even an option here.

I don't recall having this problem before. Anyone else?

Based on your description of that "vote count goes to zero" behavior, I'll bet that you are providing your friends with a direct link to your voting page. (e.g. https://flexperkstraveler.usbank.com...start=1&end=12)

In my experience, that problem you describe is exactly the result of deep linking like that. An astute user might notice this problem and figure out that they just need to refresh the page and THEN the site will work properly and capture their vote. But a nontechnical/impatient user is going to assume that their vote was good and move on.

You can avoid that problem by providing your friends with the link to the flexperks gallery page and then have them select your photo from the list.

Even then, I have found that the Flexperks login/voting process can still be a challenge for very nontechnical mobile users...

Good Luck! (which photo is it? I'll send a few votes your way :)

Since no one responded, I decided to try by myself. It turns out that the program is quite impressive as the statement credit appeared immediately after the redemption. Also the redemption rate is 1 cent per point. Therefore, this real time reward is pretty nice to redeem orphan points. I am redeeming my last 2,000 points and going to close my Flexperk.
