Why on earth does this take so long?!
it's the same as a free after rebate system. that's why you should take advantage of all the good features of flexperks.. I enjoy sticking it to them by spending in bonus categories only. I put up with them b/c of the rewards otherwise I'd move my business to citi/amex. |

I have 27000 flexperk rewards. Is it that crazy to burn it for $270? I know I will lose some value ($400?) but it seems like too many hoops to go through to book

I just did a perfect redemption $400.00 RT flight for 20,000 FlexPoints.
My first two redemptions were $380 and $384, so when you count in the $25 credit it does seem realistic to average ~2cpp. Despite this, it has been somewhat challenging to find RT tickets under $400 where I live. This card is a lot less frustrating if you have other programs/miles to fall back on when redemption tiers aren't ideal. |
Just wonder how long it will take to credit the $25, I redeemed the ticket for April 1 flight and called and said will process but still didn't see the credit come back. Thank you!
Also they don't seem to have online message, just an email address. |

Barclays arrival and travelocity have worked well for me. I'll eventually get into citi TYP.

definitely wait until 2nd statement from april 1st. It's a lot of work to pursue something like this with them so it's best to wait. |
I used points for tickets on usair. Is there any opportunity to use the $25 for gift cards? Usair stopped selling them, saying to buy from AA. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks! |
Will food bought at the Admiral's club count towards the $25 credit?

Couple of gripes
I've had the Flexperks card from its birth and use it for most of my purchases. I'm satisfied with the redemption potentials, although I would be happier if the use of points for purchases could be broken down into finer increments so I wouldn't need to wait to find fares that offer the best use of points.
Anyway, I have two pet peeves with this card. First, the monthly statements include the full number for my credit card as well as the full identification number for my Flexpoints account. This results in my shredding the monthly statements so that the card number won't be lifted if someone happened to see the contents of my recycle bin. It would be better security IMO if only the last 4 or 5 digits of the card and Flexpoints account were shown on the statement. That is how my Amex bill appears and I don't bother to shred those statements. Also, FYI, I need paper copies for personal reasons so switching to solely online statements would not work for me. Second, I have set up a transaction dollar amount alert to notify me by email whenever the card is used, just as I have done with my other cards. However, it seems to take an hour or two before I am notified, and I would like quicker notifications. With my Chase visa card, the notice appears within a few seconds, which results in fewer requests from the merchants for printed receipts...I can often verify that the correct amount was charged before I even leave the merchant's parking lot. With the FlexPerks card, I have continued to request printed receipts from the merchants because I know I won't get any electronic notice showing the amount until I'm miles away. I'm posting my gripes in case any of U.S. Bank's reps are following this thread. I'll continue to use the card at least in the short term but a couple of changes to their practices would be preferable IMO. |

So if you want your gripes to be heard by US Bank, first figure out where they actually listen. Perhaps they have a Facebook page or a Twitter account? (I have no idea myself, but I know there are some other companies which are more likely to listen to complaint on their Facebook and/or Twitter page than in a FlyerTalk thread, even if they do sometimes monitor FlyerTalk in their cases.) If not, figure out where to address such complaint to them directly (where they'll be listened to). Btw, I don't know if they'll take your complaints about paper statement security seriously. They'll probably just tell you to sign up for paperless statements! (I remember back in the Northwest days, they used to run promos like 500 bonus miles for signing up for paperless statements.) |

Does anyone know how long after I pay the annual fee that I can cancel the card and receive a refund for the annual fee? I've searched my statements and online and can't find that info. Thanks. |
American Airlines sells gift cards with the lowest amount of $50. Any thoughts on how to use the $25 credit for AA? I don't need to pay for luggage check-in.

Flexperks has had in the past a 120k spend limit for regular spend; after 120k in regular spend it was supposed to have gone from 1 FP per dollar spent to 1:2. I believe it used to be detailed on my statement but is no longer there. Anyone know if that limit has been lifted?
