Supervisor has said that this list hasn't been updated to exclude non-US airlines. Note that it will be difficult to get any transactions covered if Real-time Rewards do not work automatically.

I received an offer in the mail for 10K "Bonus Flexpoints" after $500 spend, plus 5K Bonus Flexpoints after another $4500 spend, plus 5K "Earned Flexpoints" for the $5K that I have spent. The full $5K must be spent by 10/31/09.

The annual fee is waived for the first year.

The 20K FlexPoints can be used to purchase airfare "valued" at up to $400. I assume that they can be redeemed only at FlexPerks.com, and I am skeptical that that site will find the best possible fare deals...does anyone have information on this?

The FlexPerks website says "Powered by Travelocity". Don't you think that it will have Travelocity availability--much like Expedia and ThankYou?

Thank you laurajoyce! I didn't see the "Powered by Travelocity" phrase. It sounds encouraging

I got the exact same offer (15000 bonus points for $500 spend, then 2500 bonus points for $2000 spend) for my Flexperks business card, too. But then, I misplaced the letter with the code and URL. (D'oh!)

I'm guessing I can use the same code and URL, since I had the same offer. But first, I figured I'd ask a few questions:
1) Did anyone get a 15000 points offer for a business card, but with a different code or URL?
2) Are we supposed to activate the card first, or sign up at the URL first?
3) How long do we have to sign up (what's the expiration date for this offer)? Maybe I'll find that letter eventually!

I called US Bank, and no, they can't tell me.

Sounds like it will, yeah. That's generally good, other than it means no flights on Southwest -- they don't participate in any of the 3rd party airfare search engines.

it seems like there's 2 offer codes for personal, and 2 offer codes for business cards. if you know for sure you got the xxx spend offer for your business card, just use that code (code seems to be the same for everyone just attached to offer...) it's probably been posted in this thread somewhere...
the way they want it done is, first: activate new card. then go to the url and register the card, start spending for the treashhold.

Thanks! I actually just found the letter with the offer. Yes, It has the same URL (flexperks.com/business15) and the same promo code (37019) for the 15k points business offer as was posted previously in this thread.

Figures -- I look for that letter for two days, and as soon as I post here, it shows up...

Just got my first card. No extra miles offered. I have had this NW card for over a year and used it on a regular basis, but paid if off every month. Did the extra miles come with the card? I have two more Northwest cards and waiting for them to send me new cards on them. One of these cards I have had for years, it give me 1 mile for every two dollars I charge and have had that card for years. (Havent used 1 mile for every $2 for years) The third card I got earlier this year, did finally get the bonus miles for that card after serveral calls, so we will have to see if any of these offer me bonus miles.

Has anyone called to cancel one of these new cards yet?

I'm curious if they offer anything different to dissuade customers from canceling...

Question regarding the $400 limit

I poked around the website and couldn't find the answer to my question. If I redeemed 20k flexperks points for a $400 ticket and the price of the ticket came out to $450, would I have the ability pay the difference or am I just out of luck entirely and would have to find a ticket priced less than $400? Thoughts?

*Edit* I called them to inquire, thebat is dead on. If your ticket is $401 you cannot use 20K points and pay $1 cash, you would have to use 30K points. WHAT A JOKE! I guess it's probably worth the initial offer to get enough for a ticket on the 15K for $500, 2.5K for $2000 offer. After that....Bye Bye card.

You are out of luck. You would have to have the next tier of flex points. This is why I backed out of the USBank deal.

I like the above answer. ^

Don't like your answer, but it's the one I figured to be most likely. Points become "wasted" if you have to use a higher tier to for a ticket that's just over by a few bucks.

Is it $400 including or excluding tax? TYN was before tax, but they also calculated the tax in a screwy way so it was tough to judge on tickets right around the limit.

I'm not sure if this was already covered, but if let's say U had 2 worldperks cards, which will both be converted to flexperks cards, will the flexperks points earned from both cards post to the same account or each card is gonna have it's own? Also if U cancel the card, will U lose all the earned points associated with it?
