10,000 FlexPerks = $50.00 VISA Card

I called US Bank since you can't see their rewards catalog online unless you're a member. After talking to 5 people and getting dumped to the "please enter your credit card number" twice I finally got someone who could simply look up what 10,000 FlexPerks were worth. $50.

How do churners meet big minimum spends now that the Gold Coins are gone?

See this thread in the MB! Forum: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/miles...nt-2011-a.html $5000 is BIG but $500 is small. :)

In my email today

"Earn 2,000 bonus FlexPoints for your holiday shopping.

Bonus FlexPoints It's easy to earn a bonus — just use your FlexPerks Travel Rewards Visa Signature card for $3,500 in purchases between November 1 and December 31, 2011, and you'll receive 2,000 bonus FlexPoints." For purchases between November 1 and December 31.

Not as good as this spring's offer of 3,500 bonus points for $3,500 in purchases (plus the grocery category store bonus and platinum level bonus for me). I know these offers vary. What's in your email?

Also, in the same email and by snail mail, 500 points for signing up for paperless statements. I'm ready for that.

I manage my parent's account and my Mother's offer was 1,250 points for $1,000 spend.

oops

:eek:that's grocery store category.... highest category of grocery store, gas, or airfare earns double points each billing period. (I think that's right.)

FlexPerks card good for....

Somewhere I read that the miles earned on a FlexPerks card are good for one type of travel but not good at all for another kind of travel.

I can't seem to find where I read these opinions.

Anyone know what type of travel gets you the best use of your FlexPerks miles?

:confused::confused:

Moved iowa guy's question into the established FlexPerks thread. It's likely that the answer is in the preceding discussion.

Air travel close to the tiers.

What are tiers? I'll search it if you can give me the keywords to search besides "tiers".

Thanks.

I didn't see anything specifically about "tiers" on that page.

Are you referring to the redemption values?

Yes, the redemption is tiered.

I guess I don't understand. On my last FlexPerks award flight I used 50,000 flexpoints but it only 'bought' a ticket that was valued at $650. So it doesn't seem that their tiered redemption values are accurate.

Valued at $650 by whom?

Travelocity priced it at between $800.01 - $1000, so they charged you 50K.

They show you the price of the ticket on the last screen before you redeem, that screen would have shown a price of (for example) $850 or $950.

Bought a ticket on D3lta airlines using flexperks points to caribbean.

Can I cancel and get a voucher on delta minus the change fee?

Or will they just credit US Bank the money minus the change fee?
