Ok, thanks. Just wish it had more than 1pt per dollar like the Travel Rewards card.

Just received notice on a change in the travel benefits. With Plus Level (>50K per year spending), you now have the option of a Delta Sky Club membership or $200 travel credit for incidental airline fees. Gift cards and tickets are specifically excluded.

Yep. It's an old card. I've had it for a long time. I charge a lot at work and I always make sure I have a decent balance in this account. The any airline ticket up to $500 for 25,000 points is quite useful to me.

I know, I have had it forever, but it used to be a prime card for them, and after it was purchased, they barely know it exists. We get guides for the year in April now. :-P

I just noticed the benefits guide updated for 2015. I don't see any major changes if any.

Letter dated 1.15.2016 through USPS announces these changes:

  • Anytime, Anywhere Air Rewards now start at 25,000 points for up to $500 ticket for all available airlines. Previously, certain airlines requires an additional 5,000 points.
  • As early as April, we're enhancing card.ml.com to enable you to redeem for cash back online.
  • We are discontinuing the following reward redemption options: charitable donation, payment on a mortgage, contribution to an IRA and contribution to a 529.
  • We are also discontinuing point transfers to the British Airway Avois program.

There is a new account bonus offer for this card, but I do not see an online application. The card carries no annual fee. They have added the fashionable $200 Travel Credit feature, as an alternative to a Delta Skyclub membership, after spending $50,000 in a year.

More information here:

this card earns 1 point per $? And basically 1 point is like 2 cent towards travel? Does that about sum up the card? I don't feel like reading through 30+ pages but regardless I checked couple of links in this thread to see what was going on. Let me know if I'm missing something huge with this card.

I called today to activate the $200 annual travel credit. (800-419-0000). I had previously accepted the Delta Sky Club benefit, but I had little chance to use it.
The travel credit enrollment will rollover automatically as long as Plus Level spending ($50K/year) is met.

How do you apply for this card? Haven't found a working link online.

They sure don't seem to want to take new applications. The only clue I could find was this from a discussion on myfico forums in may 2015.

I must say that this card is a pain in the rear to apply for these days. The phone representative had to put me on hold several times in order to locate the application in his system. Additionally, don't apply unless you can set aside at least 20-30 minutes to listen to all the terms and conditions during the application process. He kept asking if I had some kind of referral code or offer code, which I'm not even sure is offered to the public for this card.
They've removed a lot from the ML website in recent years, including the online application feature and the phone number to apply. I just used the main BoA phone application line because I didn't feel like hunting down a Merrill Lynch phone number.

Just saw the 2016 benefits guide. They have some new $200 travel credit if you spend 50k.
