2.25 cashback is great, but if you can use Merrill points for tickets on AA/CO/DL/BA you have potential to hit 3.25% (1.25% plus up to 2%) or you have 1.25% cashback plus 1 BA mile per dollar spent since BA is the only transfer partner.

Anyhow, congratulations on the great deal!

However, when you add the 1.25% cash back per point on top of the 1 point per dollar spent, that totals 2.25% back, which is excellent in my book. This offer is targeted to people with a ML CMA who have the VISA deferred debit (signature or not) as ML is doing away with the rewards program for their debit cards as of 10/15/2011.

Also forgot. NO AF!!! Makes it irresistible in my book.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING regarding this card and its benefits for 2012? The online system now lists the annual fee as $0, and the benefits guide is still "Coming soon!". Does anyone know if this card is even still considered a top tier card to BOA?

It seems like Merrill+ is now just another BofA card. The benefit I see is 9.99% fixed APR and balance transfers with a maximum $75 fee.

This card never had an annual fee.

Is BA still a transfer option? I couldn't find anything on the web site yesterday and only saw the options of using the points for travel rewards.

Merrill + Visa and Merrill Accolades

Are any of these cards worth using? I get them both for free and I just got the new ones with the smart chips. I used to really like the + Visa card.

I spend enough to get into the +2 bracket but I don't really see myself using any of those benefits.

Merrill + was a great card when they first introduced it and you could get Ritz-Carlton vouchers by achieving certain spend levels. Since those have been removed the card is pretty much useless IMHO. I keep it due to the credit limit and the no annual fee. You can find more info on the card if you SEARCH the forum.

I ran a search and the threads with Merrill + in the title are at least 2 years old so I thought there might be some new information.

Merrill+ Visa Signature Card Delta Discounts

I have been a Merrill+ Visa Signature Card holder for a few years and noticed that one of the benefits is that you get discounts on Delta Flights. I have called the travel and reservations number three times but no one knows how to take advantage of this promotion. Has anyone been able to take advantage of these Delta discounts?

50% off Delta International Tickets

and

Up to 12% off Domestic Business, First Class and Coach Tickets
Offer applicable to new reservations for one way or roundtrip travel. The discount applies to fares in select booking classes and to destinations in the U.S. and Canada. This offer may not be combined with any other discount or offer and does not apply to Merrill Point redemption tickets. 12% discount applies to fare codes: F/A/J/C/D/Y/B/M. 8% discount applies to fare codes: H/Q/K/L.

I appended your question to the established thread about this card to keep all information in one place.

To be sure we understand correctly you called 1.800.419.0000 and they do not know how to provide a benefit which is published in the 2012 Program Guide? (I have this card, but haven't used it in a long while.)

Thanks for adding it to the correct thread.

But yes, that is the number that I called and they had no idea how to add to discount.

Merrill+ No FTF Effective 9/24/12

I just called in to check up on some rates for my account and apparently as of 9/24/12, Merill+'s Foreign Transaction Fee is now at 0%. Awesome surprise considering they just added the Chip to the card.

Has anyone tried the ML+ w/ Chip and signature in Europe? How was your experience?

Was in Amsterdam and Munich for the last month. Had no problems using it or my Palladium card. I'd call and set a cash advance pin, because that's what worked every time when a PIN was required instead of printing out a signature receipt.
