Prncs,
I called to check on availability to use my certificate and was offered the same fares as I could find on NWA website.
This certificate does have a lot of limitations that they don't tell you about ahead of time, though. Mine is only good until July 31, so have less than 4 months to use it. No travel is allowed on Sundays, and a couple of days are blacked out. Stay must include Saturday night. Other than that availability for using this cert seemed pretty good when I called. Which reminds me you have to call to reserve, you can't book online.

Yep, US Bank is evil, all right. No doubt about it. You should keep a paper copy of any offers they send you, especially if it has a tracking number of any sort on it, because you will need it later when you run the gauntlet of snotty phone reps on your way to a supervisor who will want to know the tracking number of your offer, along with a fax of a copy of it, as proof that you should get what they promised you.

PS US Bank was bought in the past 1-2 years by Firstar in Milwaukee which also took the US Bank name and moved to Minneapolis

Thanks socrates. I am preparing a description of my disastrous dealings with US Bank and a comparison of the major credit card options. Thought it would be helpful to identify when the change occurred.
